If you happen to be a fan of flying on birds of prey, this week has been surprisingly accommodating! The Falconeer landed onto PC and consoles this Tuesday alongside a giant war-falcon, while the freshly released The Pathless has a much smaller, though still quite useful (and adorable) eagle companion!

When it comes to the actual gameplay, The Pathless is all about exploring a massive open world, solving an assortment of puzzles and navigational challenges, and then facing off against a bunch of bosses that appear to be permanently lit on fire, hence why they're a bit moody. Along the way you'll be accompanied by the aforementioned eagle who will not only serve as a morale-boosting companion, but also give you the ability to fly around and do crazy acrobatics.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has made the umbrella-wielding Bloodless a playable character

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night artwork for the Bloodless character

[Update]: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is adding Aurora from Child of Light as a brand new character.

Even though Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night released a while ago, I'm happy to say it's still getting major updates. This most recent one has transformed Bloodless, the umbrella-wielding vampire boss from the main campaign, into a fully playable (and free) character!

Instead of powering up by collecting abilities and weapons from fallen enemies, Bloodless can unlock new skills and improve her attributes by seeking out crystal globes scattered throughout the world. So even though Bloodless won't follow the usual gameplay formula, there will still be plenty of reasons to explore every single nook and cranny!

[Update]: The PC beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be running from September 22-26.

The holiday season is nearly upon us, and as is tradition, a brand new Call of Duty game has arrived. The freshly released Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War serves as a direct sequel to 2010's Black Ops, and offers an assortment of multiplayer modes (both new and old), more customization than ever before, and most importantly of all, a brand new outlet for all your zombie-slaying needs!

What might come as the biggest surprise, especially if you've been away from the series for a while, is that Cold War's singleplayer campaign has received a lot of critical praise so far. Not only is it quite immersive and well paced almost all the way through, but it also features a bunch of branching choices with seemingly serious consequences. A good chunk of effort has gone into the campaign, and I'm pleased to say that it really does show.

Grounded official artwork for the Koi Pond update

[Update #2]: After two years in Early Access, Grounded will be launching in full on September 27th, 2022.

[Update]: Grounded's Hot and Hazy update is adding four new zones, stat upgrades and a bunch of busy bugs!

I hope you're in the mood for a bit of a swim, because Grounded's Update 0.4 is all about expanding and fleshing out the Koi Pond area. What this means in gameplay terms is that you can expect to see a bunch of new critters, everything from tadpoles to the diving bell spider, and as the name itself would suggest, the gigantic and always-hungry Koi fish!

Should you manage to tackle all of these new foes, you will be able to use their various bits and pieces to craft an assortment of new gear and decorations. Besides being able to dress up nice and fancy, you'll definitely want some of these items as they will allow you to explore Grounded's underwater areas without constantly worrying about silly things like breathing or being able to see.

After a fair few previews, the action focused 'looter-slasher' Godfall has now finally made its way to PC and PS5. As you might expect from that brief description alone, Godfall is all about messing around with a variety of unique weapons and classes, exploring the world and beating up all sorts of baddies alongside a couple of friends, and naturally, collecting more loot than you could possibly know what to do with.

Since combat is by far the most important aspect of these types of games, allow me to share with you the recently posted launch trailer. It should hopefully give you a pretty good idea of just what Godfall has to offer. Have a peek:

[Update #2]: Overwatch is adding the Priority Pass system to help with lengthy queue times.

[Update]: The quality of life changes have now been added alongside a new Symmetra challenge.

Instead of focusing on the balance like many of the previous patches, the newest experimental update has now brought in a whole bunch of awesome quality-of-life changes. Ana's biotic grenade will now passes through allies with full health, Hanzo's storm arrows can be manually canceled, while Pharah can use her jumpjets to rapidly accelerate downwards, essentially giving her a brand new way to dodge hitscan heroes.

While the experimental update is mostly focused on these types of quality-of-life changes, there are still two notable balance adjustments to highlight: Moira's healing resource consumption rate has been reduced, while Brigitte's recent health buff has been reverted. Here are all of the details:
