The freshly released Scarlet Nexus is an action-focused JRPG set in the distant future where humanity has discovered numerous 'psycho-kinetic' powers. As you might expect from that alone, Scarlet Nexus will have you explore the world and fight hordes of mutated monstrosities with an assortment of flashy abilities, all the while trying to piece together just what in the world is happening with the story.

As is often the case with these types of games, the reception for Scarlet Nexus seems to be somewhat mixed. The main complaints are centered around the confusing story and large quantities of repetitive encounters, while most of the praise seems to be going towards the engaging combat and stylish visuals. So if you do decide to dive into Scarlet Nexus, you might want to do a little bit of extra research beforehand to figure out just where you stand on the matter.
