If you think that combining fast-paced ARPG gameplay with the usual MMO features sounds like a jolly ol' time, then you'll be happy to hear that the highly popular Lost Ark has now made its way over to Steam. As you might expect given its genre, Lost Ark's gameplay is all about carving your way through hundreds upon hundreds of monsters with ridiculously over-the-top abilities, all the while solving menial quests and talking about nonsense with your fellow players.

What this looks like in action, that you can get a pretty good impression of through the recently posted launch trailer. Have a peek, it's not a very long one:

Capcom has begun teasing what looks like a brand new game

Capcom teaser for a mysterious new game

[Update #2]: Barely a month has gone by, and Capcom has already revealed another game! This time around it's not a fighting game, however, but rather Exoprimal - a team-based action game about mechs fighting dinosaurs!

[Update]: It turns out the announcement was even more exciting than I expected! As such, you can now not only look forward to Street Fighter 6, but also the greatly enhanced Capcom Fighting Collection!

In an announcement that came pretty much out of nowhere, Capcom has now unveiled a very simple countdown website. As of time of writing the countdown still has 5 days and 4 hours to go, which places the endpoint on February 21st.

As for what exactly this big announcement is going to be, nobody outside of Capcom currently knows. However, if you're willing to indulge a bit of speculation, then I do believe it's likely to be the Resident Evil 4 Remake.

[Update #2]: World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' final major Update 9.2 - Eternity's End has now been unleashed!

[Update]: Blizzard has now detailed all of the changes and additions coming in with Patch 9.2!

Given how long we had to wait for Patch 9.1 - Chains of Domination, I fully expected the seemingly final content Patch 9.2 - Eternity's End to arrive with a massive delay as well. However, in a surprising announcement Blizzard has just revealed that Eternity's End will be launching with next week's server reset, on February 22nd or 23rd depending on your region.

Once it arrives, Eternity's End will bring with it Zareth Mortis as a brand new zone to explore, a chunky new raid with 11 bosses to tackle, as well as a brand new Torghast wing to toy around with. You can also expect to see a new progression system that lets you slowly unravel the language of the First Ones, the ability to equip two legendary items at once, the return of the much-beloved tier sets, and naturally, a whole host of new pets, mounts and other cosmetic items to collect.

Overwatch devs are currently experimenting with some outlandish balance changes

[Update]: Overwatch's February 2022 update has added a Reaper themed event alongside a short story.

While the actual content updates are rapidly becoming smaller and smaller, there is at least one good thing about the Overwatch team being so preoccupied with the sequel - they are far more willing to let the community experiment with their own balance changes. The first of these ridiculously over-the-top experimental patches launched back in December, and while many of the tweaks ended up being scrapped, some of them were actually good enough that they ended up being adopted into Overwatch proper.

As such, I'm excited to say that the second major experimental update has now arrived with a whole bunch of wacky changes! Orisa has been reworked into a fast-moving duelist, Genji has received two swift strikes in exchange for a significantly weaker dragonblade, while Mercy's mass-resurrection ultimate has been brought back from the dead!

Now that the gameplay quirks have been sorted out thanks to last year's Afterlife update, the Death's Gambit team has finally decided it is time to unleash the very first expansion - Ashes of Vados. The PC version of Ashes of Vados is already live, while the PlayStation and Switch will be getting their turn at some point in Spring.

As for the actual content, Ashes of Vados brings with it a continuation of the main storyline which will culminate in a challenging boss fight against Ash. Should you succeed, you'll be able to unlock a drastically different and significantly harder version of the encounter called "The Eldritch Hand!" to really help spice things up.

[Update #2]: MTG Arena's April 2022 Streets of New Capenna set is all about demons, gangsters and demon gangsters.

[Update]: MTG Arena's February Alchemy update is greatly buffing zombies and other niche strategies.

After two sets filled with dreary darkness and dark dreariness, MTG Arena's freshly released Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty expansion has taken things in the completely opposite direction. The Japan inspired Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty brings with it an assortment of colorful and futuristic characters like biker mice, cyber-ninjas and mechanized goblin samurai, as well as more traditional things like spirits, sagas, and the fan-favorite shrines!

You can get a pretty good idea of the sort of atmosphere and style Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty is going for through the recently posted cinematic trailer. Have a gander, it's quite the pretty one:

Death-defying martial arts roguelike Sifu has now landed onto PC and PlayStation

[Update #2]: Sifu's August update will be adding even more ways to customize your experience!

[Update]: Sifu is adding a much harder and much easier difficulty mode on May 3rd, 2022.

Sifu is a freshly released martial arts roguelike from Sloclap, the team behind the very punchy Absolver. As you might imagine from that brief description alone, Sifu is all about fighting against the odds, utilizing an assortment of moves and combos to methodically take down all of your opponents, and in true roguelike fashion, slowly getting yourself to the point where you can practically dance through the levels unharmed.

Even if you do get taken down, however, it's not that big of a deal since death is a mere inconvenience in Sifu. Every time you die you will rise again, though older and slightly more fragile than before. So while you do have plenty of chances to exact revenge before you're too old to actually continue, it's still a good idea to preserve your health and face the various bosses as young and healthy as possible.
