[Update #2]: Wrath of the Lich King Classic, the very peak of the original WoW era, has now been unleashed.
[Update ]: World of Warcraft Classic is giving players a fancy new dragon mount for simply playing Death Knights.
World of Warcraft's second, and very likely final, Classic expansion Wrath of the Lich King will be arriving later this year without the controversial Dungeon Finder. All of the other content will be fully available, and you can also expect to see a couple of extra improvements like additional character customization options, personal Arena rating, and even the ability to level a Death Knight character to 70 before the expansion itself goes live.
Speaking of which, you might want to start thinking about your leveling route as Blizzard has just accidentally revealed that the expansion is nearly upon us. According to a brief update on the World of Warcraft website, Wrath of the Lich King Classic will be unleashed on September 26th, which means that Death Knights will most likely become playable in either late August or early September.

[Update #2]: Immortal Empires has now been unleashed alongside Total War: Warhammer 3's biggest update ever!
[Update]: The latest preview offers a close-up look at the Immortal Empires campaign map and some of the new Legendary Lord positions.
As a part of the August 23rd update, Total War: Warhammer 3 will receive a staggering amount of new content. Not only will it include the Immortal Empires combined campaign map that spans the entire Warhammer world, but also the very first Champions of Chaos Lord Pack, along with a whole bunch of faction reworks and tweaks.
While the full list of changes has not been announced just yet, Creative Assembly has taken this opportunity to reveal their plans for four of the races: Lizardmen, Vampire Counts, Dark Elves and Norsca. You can read the whole developer update over at the Total War website, but for now here's a brief rundown of what you can expect to see:

[Update #2]: Immortal Empires has now been unleashed alongside Total War: Warhammer 3's biggest update ever!
[Update]: The second Champions of Chaos preview shows off Festus the Leechlord and the upcoming Nurgle additions.
The Warriors of Chaos were the very first DLC ever released for the original Total War: Warhammer. While they were alright back at launch, many years of updates and various improvements to the other races have left them so far behind that in Total War: Warhammer 2's Mortal Empires their world-ending invasion frequently gets stopped by a couple of random rats that just happened to cross their path.
So in order to make the Warriors of Chaos as fierce as they should be, Total War: Warhammer 3 will soon be giving them a massive overhaul. You can expect to see it arrive alongside the release of the Champions of Chaos Lords Pack and Immortal Empires combined campaign map on August 23rd, 2022.

[Update]: Both anthologies have now been revealed, and while they are a bit of a mixed bag, there's definitely some fun new cards here.
If the recent Baldur's Gate set has not shaken things up enough for you, you'll be happy to hear that MTG Arena will soon be getting even more cards! Once they arrive this July 28th, Historic Anthology 6 and Explorer Anthology 1 will bring with it 20 fan-favorite cards specifically chosen to spice up each format.
While the full list of cards has not been revealed just yet, the teasers do seem quite promising! Historic will be getting Tarmogoyf, Avacyn, Angel of Hope and Go-Shintai of Life's Origin, while Explorer will be snagging some Pioneer staples like Favored Hoplite, Supreme Verdict and Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet.

[Update]: Guild Wars 2's August 2nd patch will fix the recently introduced Warrior and Mesmer problems.
In an effort to make old world bosses an exciting part of a new player's journey, as well as a fun little distraction for veterans, Guild Wars 2's latest update has now decided to give them some much-needed polish. You can expect to see new skill telegraphs and defiance bars, improved mechanics, as well as rebalanced health pools to better accommodate the higher player power level.
The Great Jungle Wurm, Shadow Behemoth, and Svanir Shaman Chief have also received a variety of improvements to their model and texture quality, so they should hopefully look much better when compared to modern monsters. And best of all, each of the bosses will now drop additional loot, thus making them worthwhile to fight if you're ever in the region.

[Update #2]: Immortal Empires has now been unleashed alongside Total War: Warhammer 3's biggest update ever!
[Update]: Total War: Warhammer 3's August update will greatly rework the long-forgotten Warriors of Chaos. You can also expect to see massive improvements to the Lizardmen, Vampires, Dark Elves and Norsca!
In an effort to clear up some of the misconceptions about the upcoming Immortal Empires combined campaign map, as well as to offer a few teasers of things to come, Creative Assembly has now released a lengthy Q&A. While the Total War: Warhammer 3 team took this opportunity to reveal a whole bunch of exciting information about Immortal Empires, the thing I found far more captivating was something that was merely shown for a couple of seconds - the names of the new DLC factions.
So if this isn't some sort of elaborate prank on Creative Assembly's part, and I honestly doubt it is, then we can expect to see the first post-launch DLC bring in four new Chaos factions! Valkia the Bloody will be at the head of the Legion of the Gorequeen faction, Vilitch the Curseling will lead the Puppets of Misrule, Festus the Leechlord will be accompanied by The Fecundites, and appropriately enough, The Ecstatic Legions led by Azazel will bring up the rear.

[Update #2]: The August 23rd patch will buff up many of the long-forgotten builds and specializations. Additionally, the August 23rd patch will see Guild Wars 2 launch onto Steam alongside a brand new set of achievement-based armor.
[Update]: The patch has now arrived, and so far things are looking pretty good.
One of the things I remember the most from my early days in Guild Wars 2 was the first time I ran into the Shadow Behemoth in the Queensdale starting zone. The sky suddenly became dark, hundreds of players swooped in out of nowhere, and after a bit of a build-up a giant monstrosity burst from the ground and attacked everyone. For a newbie that mostly spent his time slapping random wildlife around, seeing such a huge group of players tackle an equally huge foe was all the excuse I needed to commit to the game and see just what else Guild Wars 2's world had to offer.
Unfortunately, outside of a couple that have been reworked, these boss fights have not managed to stand the test of time. They were designed for a game with a significantly lower power level, which means that under the onslaught of today's fully geared characters the bosses melt within seconds and pose absolutely no threat whatsoever.

[Update #2]: Return to Monkey Island has now arrived alongside some highly positive reviews.
[Update]: It's time to get excited as Return to Monkey Island will be launching on September 19th, 2022!
In a sudden announcement that came over thirty years after Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge, Ron Gilbert popped up to reveal that there is a brand new follow-up in development! While the exact details are still few and far between, the recently revealed Return to Monkey Island will be a collaboration between Gilbert's Terrible Toybox and Lucasfilm Games.
It's also worth mentioning that even though Return to Monkey Island is a direct follow-up to Monkey Island 2, the team has gone to great lengths to ensure that the events of Monkey Island 3 (The Curse of Monkey Island) remain canon. Unsurprisingly, this also means that the good ol' Murray will make an appearance in Return to Monkey Island as well!

After Valve stopped actively working on Team Fortress 2 a couple of years ago, it slowly but surely started getting filled up with hackers and cheaters. Their presence eventually became such a massive hindrance to pretty much every public server that the community decided to stage a protest in order to get Valve's attention.
In a bit of an unexpected twist given how hard it is to get Valve to say anything, the protest actually worked incredibly well and Valve announced that they are working on a solution. After about of month in the oven the update was finally unleashed, and apparently it was so incredibly effective that Team Fortress 2 lost around 30,000 'players' immediately after it went live! Best of all, while the cheaters never returned in any great numbers, many of the long-lost Team Fortress 2 players did!
