If you're a fan of the new age of Souls-like games that combine the combat elements of Dark Souls with Metroidvania style exploration, you might want to keep an eye on the upcoming Moonscars. It's a 2D action-adventure that will have you forge your own path through a dreary and non-linear world, master new abilities that will help you open up additional routes and shortcuts, and naturally, slash, parry and dodge your way through numerous tricky encounters.
What all of this looks like in action, as well as what the story might be about, that you can find out through the recently posted teaser below. Have a gander:
Warcraft 3: Reforged Update 1.33 has finally added ranked play, leaderboards and player profiles

[Update #2]: Warcraft 3: Reforged's Patch 1.35 is adding custom campaigns alongside a bunch of balance changes.
[Update]: Nearly three years after launch, Warcraft 3: Reforged's Patch 1.34 has finally added clans and separated AT/RT matchmaking.
After what feels like an eternity of waiting, Blizzard has finally returned to Warcraft 3: Reforged with a sizable update in their hands. The freshly released Patch 1.33 brings with it ranked play, leaderboards, player profiles, as well as a variety of balance changes for both multiplayer and singleplayer.
The way the new ranked play system works should be instantly familiar if you've played some of Blizzard's other competitive games. Basically, the ranked ladder consists of seven tiers you'll have to slowly progress through (Combatant, Challenger, Rival, Duelist, Elite, Gladiator, Champion), with each rung of the ladder bringing with it tougher and tougher competition for you to contend with. Most importantly, at least in my eyes, your matchmaking rating will be separated by race (including random), so mixing things up every once in a while is highly encouraged as it won't impact your 'main' rank.

Total War: Warhammer 3's August 23rd update will finally be adding the missing blood & gore effects

[Update #2]: Immortal Empires has now been unleashed alongside Total War: Warhammer 3's biggest update ever!
[Update]: The final Immortal Empires preview showcases everything coming with Total War: Warhammer 3's biggest update yet.
For reasons that I will probably never understand, Total War: Warhammer 3 launched without any sort of blood and gore effects. Because of this you can end up in bizarre situations where hordes of bloodletters, servants of the blood god, are massacring their foes while standing in gigantic pools of blood overlooking a blood fountain, without actually spilling even a tiny bit of blood themselves - that would apparently be too much!
Thankfully, this charade will soon be over as Total War: Warhammer 3's August 23rd update will bring with it the long, long awaited Blood for the Blood God pack. Here's what it'll look like in action:
