Across the Obelisk official artwork for the indie card game roguelite combo

After spending about a year in Early Access, the co-op focused deckbuilding roguelike Across the Obelisk has now been unleashed alongside a sizable update. Version 1.0 brings with it a revamp of the perk system, an assortment of new enemies to fight and a new biome to explore, as well as the usual batch of quality of life improvements and fixes.

What some of this looks like in action, as well as what the gameplay is even all about, that you can find out through the freshly posted launch trailer below. Have a gander:

I haven't played it myself so I can't offer any personal anecdotes, but I'm happy to say that Across the Obelisk has been enjoying a highly positive reception so far. There's even a fair few players comparing it to Slay the Spire and Monster Train, which if not an exaggeration, is incredibly high praise given the level of quality found in both of those games. So if you're in the mood for flinging cards at your enemies, and ideally if you have a couple of friends that share your interest, Across the Obelisk does look like it's worth a closer look.

You can learn more about Across the Obelisk, as well as check out a variety of player reviews, over at Steam. Have fun!
