Conan Exiles is one of the three Conan the Barbarian games Funcom plans to announce in 2016 as they have recently made a partnership with the aptly named Conan Properties (which just makes me think of Conan in a business suit) to breathe a breath of fresh air in to a franchise that hasn't seen a good new entry for a while now.
Conan Exiles is an open-world survival game set in the brutal wilderness of Conan's homeworld Hyboria. It is slated to arrive on Steam Early Access in the summer of 2016 with a full PC & console launch to follow suit shortly afterwards. Here's the trailer:
GOG Has Announced "Games In Development" - Its Own Version Of Early Access

Early access, in other words the sale of games in alpha or beta state, is not a component of the modern gaming world I particularly enjoy, mostly because its hard to actually guarantee the half-finished game you paid good money for will ever actually get finished.
While GOG's recently announced "Games in Development" section can't offer you that guarantee either it will however only feature hand-picked games and offer a 14-day no-questions-asked refund policy for them. Here's how it differs from Steam's Early Access system:
Steve Jackson's Sorcery! Parts 1 & 2 Are Heading To Steam On February 2nd

Sorcery! is a four-part single player RPG based on Steve Jackson's Fighting Fantasy books of the same name. The focus is on compelling storytelling, interesting characters and so many branching decisions that even after my third playthrough of Part 1 I'm still discovering entirely new avenues of approach.
Sorcery! originally released on mobile devices back in 2014 to some great reviews and is now finally making its way to the PC & Steam on February 2nd. Here's the trailer:

While I'm not the biggest fan of the Compendium system, mostly because you have to pay money to gain the ability to spend even more money, it does seem that Valve have learned their lesson with 2016 Winter Battle Pass as you can earn a fair chunk of rewards simply by playing well.
The Battle Pass & Compendium combination will set you back $7,99 and offer you plenty of quests and achievements to complete in return for cosmetic items as well as everything you might want to know about the upcoming Dota 2 Shangai Major. Here's a quick overview of the Battle Pass:
First Gameplay Footage Of Sunless Sea's Zubmariner Expansion Has Been Revealed

Sunless Sea is one of those bizarre games that on the surface doesn't seem like it should be interesting but is actually gripping enough to keep you playing for dozens of hours. Even though I never finished it as the difficulty becomes downright unfair in the "end game" I still think of Sunless Sea fondly as its doomed world, muted graphics and brilliant writing hold a special charm for me.
Which is why I'm happy to tell you that the short gameplay preview of Sunless Sea's upcoming Zubmariner expansion is just as dread-inducing and stylish as the base game. Take a look:
Guild Wars 2 Update Brings Gliding To Central Tyria, Shatterer Rework And More | Here's A Quick Overview:

When Heart of Thorns released a few months back it brought with it potentially the coolest thing in Guild Wars 2, the ability to glide. Ever since then I've spent a lot of time jumping off cliffs and flying around, a habit that turns quite fatal when you forget that gliding doesn't work in Central Tyria (the original GW2 map).
Luckily the recently released update fixes that issue by adding gliding to the original GW2 zones as well as a new and improved Shatterer boss fight and many other changes, ranging from quality of life improvements to balance fixes. Here's a short overview of what the patch brought in:

Hard Reset is a cyberpunk FPS that's all about using over the top weapons against hordes and hordes of enemies alongside some flashy graphics and upbeat music. It launched back in 2012 and through many updates and even a free expansion became on one of the most fun FPS games around.
And now it seems that Hard Reset is getting an updated "Redux" version which will bring with it improved graphics, re-balanced gameplay as well as new weapons such as the cyber-katana and new enemies to use it on. Here's the announcement trailer:
