Resident Evil 7 biohazard is now available, and its actually quite good

Resident Evil 7 biohazard official artwork

Even though Resident Evil 7 shares the same name as its predecessor, it has very little common with Resident Evil 6. Instead of focusing on constant action and explosive set-pieces, Resident Evil 7 is all about the claustrophobic atmosphere and a constant feeling of dread. It might be a Resident Evil game in name alone, but from what I've experienced so far its a damn effective survival horror and a welcome new direction for the series!

If you would like to get a glimpse of it for yourself, here's the recently posted launch trailer. It does feature a couple of monsters and "big moments" from the game itself, so if you want to stay completely spoiler free you might want to think twice about watching it. As for the rest of you, have a look:

If you love Dark Souls as much as I do I'm afraid I bring some bittersweet news. On one hand Dark Souls 3 will soon be getting its second and final piece of DLC to round up the story, but on the other hand this is also going to be the last piece of Dark Souls content we're ever going to get. FromSoftware will continue developing Souls-like games, don't you worry about that, but the upcoming The Ringed City DLC will be the grand finale for the Dark Souls trilogy.

As far as the story is concerned, the only thing I can tell you right now is that we will be chasing the Slave Knight Gael to the literal end of the world as he searches for the Dark Soul of Humanity. As you might imagine, this journey will be filled with new monsters to mercilessly beat up, a whole bunch of secrets to uncover, and naturally, a variety of bosses to miserably fail against.

If you're wondering what this might look like in gameplay terms, you'll find the recently posted teaser trailer down below. Do bear in mind, however, that there are some spoilers in this video, especially if you have an encyclopedic knowledge of the Dark Souls series and its characters. So if you want to remain completely oblivious I'm afraid you're going to have to skip out on this one. But for the rest of you, here's the video:

  • Dark Souls 3
  • The Ringed City DLC

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is set to arrive this April 4th for both the PC and consoles, but if you would like to give it a spin beforehand you'll be glad to hear that CI Games have announced an open beta. The beta will start on February 3rd, and in order to get in all you'll need to do is sign up on the official website - its that simple!

As far as the content is concerned, the open beta will bring with it two missions to toy around with. In Cut Off you'll need to employ all of your sneaky tactics in order to infiltrate a well guarded compound, while in Blockout you will need to dispose of an equally well-guarded war criminal, ideally from range. While its obvious what sort of playstyle the game recommends you take its still going to be up to you to decide how to tackle each mission, whether that be through stealth or through enough explosions to level a small mountain.

Starcraft 2's upcoming patch will add TotalBiscuit as a custom Announcer

By Ash

TotalBiscuit as a custom announcer in Starcraft 2

To say that TotalBiscuit has simply been involved in Starcraft 2 would be one hell of an understatement. He not only spent a lot of time casting official matches, but he actually went the extra mile by creating his own competitive team and even funding a couple of tournaments. All of that eventually came to an end, but his impact on Starcraft 2 has been anything but minor.

So if you ever wanted TotalBiscuit to 'cast' your matches, you'll be glad to hear that Blizzard has just announced that the Cynical Brit will be joining Starcraft 2 as a custom announcer in the next patch! You can find a bunch of preview clips by heading over to the official website, but if you're familiar with TotalBiscuit's style of humor you should already know what you're getting into.
