The Dwarves RPG has been updated with three new game modes and keybinding improvements

If you're still playing The Dwarves, a fantasy RPG inspired by Markus Heitz's novel of the same name, you'll be glad to hear that a recent update has brought with it new content and some much needed improvements. There's three new game modes spread across six maps to test your skills, a new very easy difficulty setting for those of you that only wish to see the story, as well as the addition of some much needed keybindings improvements.
Since the patch notes are fairly small here's the entire list, straight from the announcement:
Overload is a six-degree-of-freedom shooter from the makers of the oldschool classic Descent

While its logo might be eerily similar to the Blizzard's monolithic shooter, Overload is a different beast entirely. Whereas Overwatch is mostly a classic FPS game with a couple of twists, Overload is actually a six-degree-of-freedom shooter from the makers of the original Descent. What this means in gameplay terms is that your little spacecraft can rotate and spin in any direction you want it to!
Since trying to explain this concept through words alone is a bit difficult, allow me to share with you the recently posted launch trailer. It will give you a good idea of what six-degree-of-freedom movement really means, and most importantly, what Overload is all about. Have a look:
Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf's latest update has rebalanced the campaign and improved the combat

For those of you that might not know, Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf is a challenging turn-based tactics game with some card game elements thrown in for good measure. While the mechanics themselves are solid and enjoyable the release version of Space Wolf suffered from some ridiculous difficulty spikes early in the campaign, as well as an enemy AI that liked to take their sweet time while wasting yours.
Thankfully, a lot of this has been fixed in the most recent update. Enemy animations can now be disabled in the settings, essentially speeding up the combat and bringing the focus back onto action. But perhaps most importantly, some of the previously annoying campaign missions have been reworked and rebalanced. Since the patch notes are fairly small here's the list of everything that came in with the update:
Telltale's adventure game series are currently on a deep discount on the Humble Store

If you've never played any of Telltale's modern adventure games you're in luck as they are currently on a rather steep discount over at the Humble Store. Unless you're aiming for some of their most recent series such as Batman and Minecraft you can find pretty much all of them for €5,75 or less!
Since I'm sure there are some among you that know almost nothing about these games, allow me to list out my favorites and briefly explain why they might be worth your time. Here's the list:
Torment: Tides of Numenera will be getting a new companion and improved combat as a free update

While I love Torment: Tides of Numenera it is quite obvious the developers either ran out of money or time by the end of it. The later portions of the game just kind of fly by, there are a lot less companions than initially advertised, and the combat system is about as boring as it gets for an isometric RPG.
Thankfully, some of these issues will be getting fixed over the coming months. If you're interested in a detailed overview of things to come you can find the full announcement over at Steam. But long story short, there will be a new companion by the name of Oom (also known as "The Toy"), something called the Voluminous Codex, as well as numerous improvements to the combat system.
Chivarly dev's spellcasting brawler Mirage: Arcane Warfare will be entering Closed Beta later this month

Mirage: Arcane Warfare is in many ways a spiritual successor to Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. However, while Chivalry at least pretended to be grounded in realism Mirage completely throws it away in favor of spellcasting, alchemy, and a variety of characters with unique abilities and weapons.
If this sounds like something you might enjoy you'll be glad to hear that the Closed Beta will begin later this month, or March 27th to be specific. The signups haven't yet begun, but if you don't feel like taking any chances you can go and sign up for the Closed Alpha over at the official website. Chances are high you won't get into the alpha, but this might just automatically put you into the drawing pool for the beta invites, so if you feel like maximizing your changes its probably worth doing.
The hellish survival horror game Agony now has two new preview videos
- By Ash
- in News
Agony is an upcoming survival horror game set in one of the most terrifying locations imaginable - an extremely twisted version of hell that greatly reminds me of Warhammer 40,000's Warp. Rather than survive by scavenging wood and hunting animals for food you will need to sneak around through hell itself, posses lesser demons in order to bypass obstacles, and somehow try to keep your sanity in check despite the bizarre circumstances.
If this sounds like something you might be interested in you can find two preview videos down below. The first one offers a brief glimpse at the story and its universe, while the second one consists of pure demon-fueled gameplay. Have a look, and just do keep in mind that what you're going to see is some pretty messed up stuff:
