[Update]: A brand new Dragon Age game has been announced at this year's The Game Awards!
During their most recent developer update Bioware discussed the current state of Anthem, how Star Wars: The Old Republic is progressing, and perhaps most interestingly, what exactly is happening with Dragon Age! No details have been given just yet, but judging by Bioware's brief statement it would appear that a major Dragon Age project is not only currently underway, but that it will also be revealed next month.
"If you’ve been following these blogs, or myself and Mark Darrah on Twitter, you know we’re also working on some secret Dragon Age stuff," reads the blog post. "Dragon Age is an incredibly important franchise in our studio, and we’re excited to continue its legacy. Look for more on this in the coming month (though I won’t tell you where to look…)"
Overwatch's 29th hero Ashe is now finally available in Competitive Play

A little while ago the Overwatch devs brought in some major Roadhog buffs, performance improvements for both PC and consoles, as well as a brand new hero - a gunslinger named Ashe. In order to give everyone enough time to get used to her abilities, as well as to figure out what sort of heroes to pick in order to punish her, Blizzard has thankfully made her unavailable in Competitive Play for a brief period.
Two weeks have come and gone since then, and I am very happy to announce that Ashe is now finally available in Competitive Play. As is expected, she's pretty much instantly locked in every single match, so if you're planning to play her you're going to need to prove that you truly have the quickest draw in the West!
Darksiders 3 has now made its way to both PC and consoles, though with mixed reception

After a very long and rather unexpected journey, the Darksiders series has now finally made a return with Darksiders 3 on both PC and consoles. As you might expect given the previous games, you'll be taking on the role of Fury, one of the horsemen of the apocalypse, as she roams the land in search of demons to beat up, abilities to acquire, and giant bosses to hit straight in the shins.
If you're wondering what all of this looks like in gameplay terms, allow me to share with you the recently posted launch trailer. Have a gander, it should give you a pretty decent idea of what to expect:
Bethesda has announced their plans for the upcoming Fallout 76 updates

As you're most likely well aware, Fallout 76's launch has been riddled with problems. Pretty much everything from the world design to the PvP has some fundamental flaws or bugs that get in the way, flaws that will take quite a bit of work to iron out.
Thankfully, it does appear that Bethesda is taking things quite seriously as they have just announced two updates that will be coming over the course of the next two weeks. Here's what you can expect to see:
The oldschool classic open-world RPG Wasteland is now getting a remaster
- By Ash
- in News
[Update]: Wasteland Remastered has now been pinned for a February 25, 2020 release date.
While the original Wasteland is a relatively forgotten game these days, back when it first launched in 1988 it represented a massive evolution of the RPG genre. If you're wondering just how massive I'm talking about, it's well worth mentioning that the original Fallout took heavy inspiration from Wasteland, even though it released nearly 10 years later.
With that in mind, I am extremely happy to say that inXile Entertainment is now working on a remastered version. No details have been given just yet, not even what the remaster is hoping to accomplish, but this announcement is certainly a good way of celebrating Wasteland's 30th anniversary!
Valve's card game Artifact has now landed onto Steam with somewhat mixed reviews

After an extremely lengthy and equally secretive beta, Valve and Richard Garfield's card game Artifact has now landed onto Steam. As expected given the concerns about its monetization model, Artifact has made its public debut alongside some seriously mixed reviews, though thankfully it appears that the gameplay itself is being widely praised.
For those of you not sure why people are complaining, Artifact is a game where you'll need to pay $20 in order to access two basic decks and 10 card packs, after which you will need to either purchase packs or individual cards with real money in order to progress. Outside of incredible runs in some of the game modes, all of which require an additional payment, there is simply no way to acquire new cards for your collection. It's pretty much the physical card game economy you might be familiar with from games like Magic, but without the ability to trade cards with other players outside of using the community market.
Planetside 2 is adding playable robotic infantry in order to help balance the endless faction war

[Update]: The developers haven't spoken much about the Nanite Systems Operatives just yet, but they are currently working on a brand new PlanetSide game - PlanetSide Arena.
Like with any game that involves multiple factions fighting over large stretches of land, Planetside 2's biggest problems occur when one faction pulls so far ahead that people simply stop playing the other two. In order to counteract this issue, as well as give players a chance to spice up their gameplay, Planetside 2 devs will soon be introducing Nanite Systems Operatives - playable robotic mercenaries that will be sent to aid the weakest faction in battle.
They're still a work in progress, but if you're interested in what exactly these new robotic mercs have to offer, as well as what their limitations will be, you should check out the recent developer update. Have a gander:
