[Update]: MTG Arena's Preator-filled Historic Anthology 5 is launching on May 27, 2021 and it's already looking quite exciting!

It has only been a little while since Strixhaven arrived, and already Wizards of the Coast are starting to look towards the next expansion. However, instead of the usual Core Set that releases around this time, the next MTG expansion will be the Dungeons & Dragons inspired Adventures in the Forgotten Realms.

While a few cards have already been spoiled, the 'proper' previews for Adventures in the Forgotten Realms will going live on June 29th. As for the expansion itself, you can expect to see it arrive onto MTG Arena and Magic Online shortly after, on July 8th.

[Update]: Guild Wars 2's third expansion End of Dragons will be launching in February 2022!

After being dragged out for far longer than expected due to the pandemic messing everything up, I'm happy to say that Guild Wars 2's The Icebrood Saga storyline has now finally reached its climactic conclusion. Without spoiling too much, expect to see plenty of both Jormag and Primordus!

If you're not afraid of some minor spoilers, however, you can also get a bit of a sneak peek at the update through the recently posted trailer. Have a gander, it's about as cheesy as you'd expect given the story build-up so far:

[Update]: Blizzard has toned down the absurdly expensive Character Copy service for Burning Crusade Classic.

A fair bit of time has gone by since the original announcement, but I'm happy to say that the long wait will soon be over! According to Blizzard's latest developer update, World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic will be launching at 3pm PDT on June 1st!

If you would like to get in on the action a little bit ahead of time, it's also worth mentioning that the pre-expansion patch will be arriving on May 18th. It'll bring with it all of the major balance changes and gameplay tweaks to help pave the way towards Outland, as well as the ability to create and level Blood Elf and Draenei characters, including Paladins for the Horde and Shamans for the Alliance!

Apex Legends massive Season 9 update has brought in Valkyrie, Arenas and plenty of server issues

[Update #2]: Apex Legends' Season 10 is launching on August 3 alongside a new Legend, weapon and map rework.

[Update]: Apex Legends has nerfed the newly added Bocek Bow along with the Spitfire.

As is tradition, Apex Legends' newest season has just landed with quite a splash! Season 9 - Legacy brings with it the hotshot pilot Valkyrie as a brand new Legend, the nifty Bocek bow as a new midrange option, a fast-paced Arena game mode, a whole bunch of balance changes, and naturally, horribly unstable servers alongside plenty of in-game lag!

The good news is that Respawn is already working on fixing these problems, and more importantly, that the new content is pretty good fun to mess around with! As for what exactly all of it looks like in action, that you can find out through the freshly posted gameplay trailer. Have a peek, it's a rather detailed one:

[Update]: Metro Exodus' free Enhanced Edition has now been unleashed onto PC.

As a part of the new PC Enhanced Edition, Metro Exodus will soon be adding greatly improved visuals for Ray Tracing-capable GPUs. And when I say soon, I really do mean that as the PC Enhanced Edition will be launching on May 6th for free to all owners of the original Metro Exodus!

"It offers additional Ray Tracing features including Advanced Ray Traced Reflections and support for the much requested DLSS 2.0 on NVIDIA hardware, which offers sharper image details and increased framerates and display resolutions," explains the brief developer update. "Further collaborating with NVIDIA, this update improves our existing Ray Traced Global Illumination tech innovated with the original release of Metro Exodus to make every light source fully Ray Traced, and implements our Ray Traced Emissive Lighting tech from The Two Colonels throughout the game."

Paradox is stopping development on Imperator: Rome for the foreseeable future

[Update]: Paradox has slowly begun fixing Europa Universalis IV's disastrous Leviathan expansion.

When Imperator: Rome first released it was met with a very lukewarm reception thanks to its numerous bugs and half-baked features. However, thanks to a series of increasingly better and better updates, these days Imperator: Rome is a pretty solid game and an excellent addition to Paradox's grand strategy roster.

Unfortunately, this is where I have to bring in some bad news. In an effort to bolster their other development teams Paradox has pulled the majority of people from Imperator: Rome and essentially put the whole game on pause. So while they are currently working on regrowing the team and continuing development, Imperator: Rome will likely remain as it is for a long period of time.

[Update]: Resident Evil Village has now been unleashed, and so far it's looking quite good!

If you're interesting in seeing just what Resident Evil Village has to offer and how it compares to its predecessors, you'll be happy to hear that Capcom will soon be launching a free gameplay demo. The demo will be going live at 5pm PST on May 1st, and will remain active until 5pm PST on May 9th.

Much like some of the previous Resident Evil demos, this one will also be time-limited. You will have a total of 60 minutes to roam across both the village and the castle, which if the Resident Evil 2 demo is any judge, should be ample time to thoroughly explore everything at a fairly leisurely pace.
