Overwatch's next character Sombra is most likely going to be revealed on November 1st

[Update]: No Sombra just yet, but something is definitely happening!

To say that Blizzard screwed up with Sombra's ARG (Alternate Reality Game) would be a massive understatement given that the community feverishly worked for many months in order to solve puzzles with absolutely nothing at the end of them. But even after every single puzzle was solved and the grand reveal loomed ever closer, Blizzard's only response was to release not one, not two, but three slow-moving countdowns with absolutely nothing at the end of them! Are you seeing a theme here?

Thankfully, things started picking up the past few weeks as Blizzard released numerous LumériCo emails (the in-game company behind the Dorado power plant), all of which were pointing towards some sort of sabotage attempt, as well as a massive protest against a corrupt government. All of this culminated with a recent announcement on the official Overwatch website that quite plainly stated something big is going to happen in Dorado this November 1st. Here's the full quote:

If you've spent the past few days living under a rock, much like I have, you may have missed the fact that both Steam and GOG have begun their massive Halloween sales. There's plenty of spooky (and not-so-spooky) games at a rather steep discount, so if you're looking to stock up until the big Christmas sale, now would be the best time to do so!

Since I'm a couple of days late with this news, allow me to make it up to you by pointing you towards the best (and cheapest) games currently available. Not all of them will scare the ever-living daylight out of you, but they are all well worth playing! And with that said, here's the brief list:

Natural Selection 2 is free-to-play on Steam for the next two days, and also 50% off

If you're a fan of asymmetric multiplayer and games that really push the FPS concept to its very limits, you might be interested in Natural Selection 2. In simple terms, its a fast-paced multiplayer shooter that has aliens face off against space-marines in an all-out war. You'll need to construct buildings, defend territory, upgrade your arsenal of weaponry, and naturally, obliterate anything not-you shaped in order to secure victory.

Since trying to comprehend all of this is no simple task, especially if you've never played Natural Selection 2 before, allow me to show you one of the most recent gameplay trailers. While it won't give you a detailed look at all of the mechanics and tactics, it should at least let you know what NS2 is all about. Have a look:

All of Titanfall 2's post-launch maps, modes, and other such content will be free

Titanfall 2's mech and soldier

In an announcement that goes contrary to pretty much all of the AAA industry, Respawn Entertainment has recently stated that all of Titanfall 2's post-launch content will be free of charge. In other words, there is no need to purchase a season pass as all of the maps, modes, and long-term support will be added in without any hidden costs.

If you're up for reading the entirety of Respawn's post that covers all of the reasons why "Titanfall 2 is a different shooter", you can find it over at the official website. But to be perfectly honest, most of it is pure marketing fluff, so if you're just interested in the key part of this whole announcement - here it is:

Doom 4 Doom is a mod that recreates Doom 4's weapons and upgrades within the classic Doom

I don't know what it is with classic Doom games that inspires people to create such extraordinarily mods, but they just keep coming! A short while ago Brutal Doom got an update that allows you to use Doom 4 weapons, and now we also have Doom 4 Doom - a mod that not only recreates Doom 4's weapons within GZDoom (a source port of Doom), but also their upgrades and mechanics.

Naturally, this is still a mod so don't expect to see Doom 4 maps recreated within Doom 1 as that would simply take too long, but at the very least you're still able to turn into a demon and kick some serious ass! But enough rambling from me, just have a look at the recently posted video, its quite explosive:

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition has now arrived for PC and consoles

After many months of announcements and teasers the Skyrim Special Edition has finally arrived to Steam, Xbox One, and Playstation 4. It brings with it improved visual and audio quality, remastered art and effects, as well as a whole slew of changes aimed at making mods even more powerful than ever before.

To be perfectly honest the graphical difference on the PC isn't that massive, but at the end of the day I don't think anyone can really complain about a free update of this size (it will be granted to you for free if you already own Skyrim and its DLC). But if you're interested in how much it has changed for the consoles, or just what Skyrim looks like these days, here's the recently posted comparison video:
