DiRT Showdown is free on Humble Bundle for the next two days

If you feel the urge to race around and crash into other drivers the moment you start losing, you're in luck as Humble Bundle is offering DiRT Showdown for free for the next two days. But even if you don't have any inclination towards racing I would still recommend taking them up on this offer as I have a feeling DiRT Showdown is going to be taken off the market rather soon. Car and music licenses don't last forever, and renewing them for fairly old games isn't very economical, so its unfortunately common for racing games to just kind of disappear after a couple of years.

And for those of you interested in seeing what DiRT Showdown is all about, you'll find one of the launch trailers down below. It doesn't feature much in terms of gameplay, but it should give you a general idea of what to expect. Have a look:

Torment: Tides of Numenera is an upcoming story-focused RPG heavily inspired by Planescape: Torment. What this means in gameplay terms is that Torment: Tides of Numenera has a massive world filled with interesting characters you can interact with, and even more interesting events you can potentially meddle with.

Its currently in Early Access, but if you would like to give it a try without spending any of your hard earned money, you now have a chance to do so as the developers have released a rather brilliant interactive trailer. The video below will guide you through a single quest and all of the decisions you can make along the way, as well as all of the resolutions you can end up with depending on your choices. So if you're interested in a bit of storytelling, I'd recommend you give it a look:

The closed beta for Ubisoft's For Honor has been announced alongside a new trailer

If you were hoping to give For Honor a try ahead of its February 14th release date, you'll be glad to hear that Ubisoft has just announced the closed beta schedule. Starting on January 26th and ending on January 29th you'll be able to play as all three factions in an all-out war for domination, with the winners being given a special reward at the very end. What exactly that reward will be, Ubisoft didn't specify, but given that this is their big marketing event I would imagine its going to be something quite special, so don't let your side down!

Besides all of the closed beta information, the announcement also came with a brand new trailer. If you're hoping for some actual gameplay, I'm afraid you won't find it here, but if you're interested in some lovely imagery and loads of nonsense about honor, then you're going to feel right at home. Have a look:

If you ever wanted to give Heroes of the Storm a try, now would be the best time to do so as Blizzard has made all of the characters free to play. The promotion will only last until 10am PST on January 16th, so make sure to jump in as soon as possible, or else you might not have enough time to give all of the heroes a proper try.

And if you haven't been paying attention to Heroes of the Storm this past year and are now wondering what in the world has even changed, you'll be glad to hear that Blizzard has posted a brief video summarizing all of the recent additions. Have a look:

Brut@l is an upcoming dungeon crawler with a world constructed entirely out of ASCII characters

Indie games with a pixel art style are a fairly common sight these days, but I can't say I've seen many that have picked ASCII as their style of choice. But as you can probably guess from the title, Brut@l - an oldschool dungeon crawler with a procedurally generated world constructed entirely out of ASCII characters, belongs to that rather small group.

Since the concept is fairly ambitious, and since most ASCII games were created that way due to technological limitations rather than due to preference, it would probably be wise to first start with a trailer. As such, here's the most recently posted co-op gameplay video to hopefully give you a good idea of what Brut@l is all about. Have a look:

The latest Styx: Shards of Darkness trailer showcases the art of "stealth"

By Ash

Styx: Shards of Darkness screenshot featuring a massive level

Styx: Shards of Darkness is an upcoming stealth game heavily inspired by the Thief series. What this means is that it features plenty of open-ended levels crawling with guards, a variety of weapons and tools to either dispatch or bypass them, as well as stealth mechanics that revolve around careful planning and fluid execution rather than brute force.

And what better way to showcase all of that than to have the main character obliterate a whole bunch of guards in the most loud and obvious way possible! So if you're interested in the more action-orientated side of Shards of Darkness, and also love videos set to moody music, you might just enjoy this rather silly trailer. Have a look:

Tales of Berseria demo is now available on Steam

With Tales of Berseria set to arrive on January 26th Bandai Namco has decided to drum up a bit of excitement by releasing the gaming equivalent of a unicorn - a demo! I haven't had the chance to play it myself, but what I can tell you is that the demo is around ~900MB in size, so the download should at the very least be fairly quick.

But if you need a bit more information before jumping into the demo, I would recommend you check out the recently posted "The Calamity and The Blade" trailer. It doesn't showcase much in terms of gameplay, but it does a good job of setting up the mood and characters. So if you're interested, have a look:
