Steep, Ubisoft's extreme winter sports game, has recently added Alaska's Mount Denali as a free patch for all platforms. The Alaska Update has brought with it 21 new challenges, 2 branded challenges, and a whole bunch of interesting new terrain to conquer... and quite possibly slam your face into.

If you're interested in seeing all of this in action, you're in luck as Ubisoft has posted a surprisingly well done trailer showcasing some of the new environments and challenges. Have a look:

For those of you looking for totally serious and bizarrely Christmas themed zombie slaying, I bring some good news! According to a recent announcement Capcom will be ushering Dead Rising 4 onto Steam on March 14th, 2017.

If you've somehow never seen a Dead Rising game, or if you just need a brief reminder of how insane all of it is, here's the relatively recent "Return to the Mall" trailer. It doesn't feature a ton of gameplay, but it does a rather good job of setting the proper mood. Anyway, here's the trailer:

If you're unsure about what sort of playstyle to go for in Mass Effect: Andromeda, you might want to check out the latest preview video. It briefly goes over all of the weapon types, some of their potential upgrades and utility options, as well as some of the powers you'll be able to pair them up with.

You'll find the video right below, and don't worry about any spoilers as there is absolutely zero story of any sort. Anyway, here's the video:

Shadow of Mordor sequel Shadow of War appears to have been leaked

Shadow of War, a sequel to the surprisingly good Orc massacre simulator Shadow of Mordor, appears to have been leaked by Target. The Shadow of War listing was quickly removed, but unfortunately for Target it was a little bit too late as there are currently tons of screenshots out there.

According to the leak in Shadow of War you'll be able to "go behind enemy lines to forge your army, conquer Fortresses and dominate Mordor from within." And in case there was any doubt, the Nemesis System will be making a return in order to "create unique personal stories with every enemy and follower". But most interestingly of all, it appears we're going to be fighting against Sauron and his Ringwraiths directly, which if done well should be one hell of a battle!

Titanfall 2's most recent update has added the Live Fire game mode and three new maps

Titanfall 2 screenshot of close quarters combat from the new Live Fire game mode

If you were taking a break from Titanfall 2 until new content arrives, now would be the time to come back as the most recent update has added a new game mode and three new maps to mess around in. The brand new Live Fire game mode is a fast-paced 6v6 Pilot-only mode that focuses entirely around close quarters combat and teamwork, perfect for players that want to get their Titanfall 2 fix in as little time as possible.

Since most Titanfall 2 maps would not be fit for this type of gameplay, the developers have released two maps designed specifically for Live Fire: Stacks and Meadow. They are both tight, fairly enclosed death-boxes perfect for the action orientated nature of the new game mode. If you're wondering what all of this might look like in gameplay terms, here's the recently posted teaser trailer showcasing Live Fire and the new maps:

Skullstone's alien looking enemy

Skullstone is an upcoming 3D grid-based dungeon crawler inspired by genre classics such as Dungeon Master and Stonekeep, as well as more modern games such as Legend of Grimrock. What this means in gameplay terms is that you will spend a lot of your time hopping along the dungeon floor, cleaving through hordes of enemies, falling into deviously concealed traps, and naturally, searching for a variety of secret chambers.

If you're wondering what all of this might look like in action, wonder no more as the developers have recently posted a gameplay trailer. Before you dive in, however, do bear in mind that the footage is from a fairly early build, so chances are there will be numerous improvements by the time Skullstone actually launches. Here's the video:

Mass Effect 2 is free on Origin for a "limited time"

Mass Effect 2's Legion promo artwork

If this title sounds a bit too familiar, don't worry as you haven't gone insane... at least not yet! Mass Effect 2 has been free on Origin since January, but with Mass Effect: Andromeda just around the corner I figured I would give everyone another heads-up. So if you've never played a Mass Effect game, but are interested in seeing what Bioware has cooked up with Mass Effect: Andromeda, then I would definitely suggest you take EA up on their offer and grab Mass Effect 2 for free.

The only catch is that you will need to install Origin in order to actually play it, but honestly that shouldn't be too big of a problem. Despite the vast amounts of hate being thrown at it, the Origin client is both reliable and easy to use, so don't worry about it messing with your playthrough in any way.
