The PC version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana was supposed to arrive on September 12th, yet on the very eve of release the developers announced an indefinite delay. Ever since then we have been pretty much in the dark, save for a short message stating that development on the PC version will continue.
As such, I am very glad to say that the developers have now issued an official statement, as well as an estimated release date! If everything goes according to plan the PC version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will be coming in mid-December, though no specific date has been given just yet. If you're interested in the reasons behind this delay, as well as what the developers are doing right now, you'll find the full statement just below. Have a look:
Grim Dawn's rather hefty Ashes of Malmouth expansion has now arrived

- in News
After being teased for a little while now, Grim Dawn's fairly massive Ashes of Malmouth expansion has now arrived! It brings with it an increased level and Devotion cap, as well as two new Masteries to unlock and mess around with: the Inquisitor and Necromancer. As is tradition, these two Masteries can be combined with all of the original ones in order to create some rather unique and interesting characters. And if that just isn't enough customization for you, there is also a brand new Illusionist NPC that lets you customize your appearance with item skins you've collected across all of your characters.
Ashes of Malmouth has also brought with it two new story chapters, a whole bunch of new environments to explore, four new factions to befriend or antagonize, an absolute ton of new items and skill modifiers, new bosses and 'superbosses', and the list goes on for quite a while. Long story short, its an oldschool expansion rather than a simple bit of DLC fluff.
Overwatch's Halloween Terror event has now arrived with a whole bunch of awesome cosmetics

After being teased and leaked multiple times now, Overwatch's second annual Halloween Terror event has finally arrived. It brings with it all of the previous cosmetics, but also a bunch of extremely good ones new ones, as well as the return of Junkenstein's Revenge PvE mode. Unfortunately, the PvE mode has not been extended into the castle itself as many have speculated, though there are new enemy layouts and different modes to toy around with, so its not as bad as it might look on first glance. Most importantly, however, its still the very best game mode for practicing your aim under high-pressure situations!
If you're interested in seeing some of these cosmetics in action, as well as a good overview of the new and improved Junkenstein's Revenge, you'll find the recently posted trailer right below. Have a look, its quite an enjoyable one:
The latest Humble Bundle is filled with games that will last you a very, very long time

If you absolutely hate free time, and you don't mind your backlog getting even bigger, you might want to check out the most recent Humble Bundle as its filled with highly enjoyable and rather lengthy games. If you prefer singleplayer games you have the absolutely massive Endless Legend 4X strategy and Van Helsing ARPG to explore, while those of you more inclined towards co-op have the entirety of the Borderlands series to shoot, loot and explode your way through.
Before you dive in, however, it is worth repeating that completing pretty much any of these games will require a considerable time investment. So if you're only playing casually, don't feel the need to grab all of them as you're most likely never going to reach the end of each one. With that little bit of warning now out of the way, here's the full list of games and the tier they appear in:
Ubisoft's Ghost Recon Wildlands will be having a free-to-play weekend from this Thursday to Sunday
- By Ash

[Update]: Ubisoft has now announced a brand new sequel to Wildlands - Ghost Recon Breakpoint!
Ghost Recon Wildlands is a tactical open-world shooter designed around squad-based play. You can either mess around with a couple of AI companions, or team up with your friends in order to see just what kind of chaos you can wreak upon your unsuspecting victims. It might not the best tactical shooter I've ever played, but I'd say its well worth giving it try, especially if you have a couple of friends to accompany you.
With that in mind, I am very glad to announce that Ghost Recon Wildlands will be having a free-to-play weekend from this Thursday until Sunday. The free weekend will give you access to the full game, as well as the newly introduced PvP mode called Ghost War, so it should give you a pretty damn good idea of whether this is the type of shooter you'd love to sink a lot of time into. I'm not sure if the free weekend will be available on Steam, so if you're interested make sure to head over to the Ubisoft website as the pre-load is already up and running.
Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire Review - A promising leap towards a bright future

Guild Wars 2's Path of Fire expansion does not represent a massive evolution, but rather a promising leap forward. The story is vastly more interesting and engaging to follow than the one in Heart of Thorns, the class diversity has been greatly enhanced with the new Elite Specializations, and the Crystal Desert is an absolute blast to explore due to the addition of some of the best mounts I've ever seen in an MMO. Its still the same Guild Wars 2 I fell in love with years ago, but with enough new bells and whistles to hopefully keep it entertaining for many more to come.
So if you're interested in seeing what Path of Fire is all about, as well as how the mount system has been integrated into Guild Wars 2's open world, allow me to share with you my thoughts after spending a couple of weeks roaming thorough the Crystal Desert.
Trick Art Dungeon is a newly announced and reality-bending puzzle-adventure game
- By Ash
- in Indie Games
Trick Art Dungeon is a newly announced puzzle-adventure that likes to play around with perspective and expectations. What this means in gameplay terms is that you can complete a painting of a shark in order for it to spring to life and dig straight through the floor, use a reflection in order to walk across pathways that simply don't exist, change your perspective in order to create a gap where there once was a solid wall, and the list of similarly bizarre examples goes on for a while.
There is simply no way for me to explain this through words alone, at least not in a way that leaves you less confused than before, so allow me to instead share with you the recently posted announcement trailer. Its not very long, but it will give you a pretty good idea of what to expect from Trick Art Dungeon. Have a look:
