After a somewhat rough start, The Elder Scrolls Online have now managed to reach a truly impressive milestone - 10 million players! And what better way to celebrate such an achievement than with a free trial designed to get even more people to adventure through the vast regions of Tamriel.
The free trial is currently available across all three platforms (PlayStation 4, PC, and Mac) and will run until December 6th. December's Humble Monthly Bundle is offering Quantum Break, The Long Dark, and Dawn of War 3 for $12 total

The Humble Monthly Bundle is a $12 subscription service that instantly gives you access to one game (or in this case three), and then a whole bunch more once the next month rolls over. Last time around it featured the fairly mediocre H1Z1, while this month offers a rather interesting combination of Quantum Break, The Long Dark, and Dawn of War 3.
While Dawn of War 3 and Quantum Break are somewhat mediocre games you wouldn't really want to buy at full price, for $12 as a part of a bundle they are an absolute steal! Add to that the surprisingly good survival game The Long Dark, as well as all of the upcoming bonus games, and you've got yourself one hell of a Monthly Bundle. Needless to say, I fully recommend you grab this one if you're even remotely interested in any of the three games!
Overwatch devs have recently tightened the Skill Rating range between players in a competitive match

If you've been paying attention to the Overwatch Forums, a mistake you're no doubt regretting at this point, you've probably noticed a large amount of complaints centered around Competitive Play. Some of those criticisms are meaningless whinging, while some represent genuine issues about how random Competitive Play can feel at times. The two opposing teams are almost always balanced in terms of average Skill Rating, but if the difference between the best and worst player on one team is too large, there are still going to be problems as Overwatch is primarily a team game that requires everyone to perform their role.
With that in mind, I am very glad to say that the Overwatch developers have now tightened the Skill Rating range between players on the same team, with the end goal being to create much more balanced matches. The exact numbers haven't been shared for obvious reasons, but from my experience so far my teammates were all within 300 SR of each other, which is fairly acceptable. Whether this holds true for the very top or the very bottom, I don't know, but its still a move in the right direction.
The VR version of the modern Doom has now arrived for PlayStation VR and HTC Vive

After being teased for a couple of months now, the VR version of Doom has now finally made its way to PlayStation VR and HTC Vive. Unlike Fallout 4 VR, however, Doom VFR does not let you play through the entire game in VR, but rather through a bunch of levels specifically designed with VR gameplay in mind.
If you're wondering what these levels might look like, wonder no more as Bethesda has just recently posted a gameplay trailer. Its not very long, but it should give you a pretty damn good idea of what Doom VFR is, and what it isn't. Have a look:
Guild Wars 2 developers have now announced the winners of the 2017 Design-a-Weapon Contest

After collecting well over 900 player-created weapons, Guild Wars 2 developers narrowed down the 2017 Design-a-Weapon Contest to only 20 entries. Ever since then the community was able to vote for their favorite concept, with the three most popular ones getting recreated in-game as fully fledged weapons!
The voting has now been closed, as you might imagine from the title, and the winners finally announced. If you're interested in seeing the overall rankings you should head on over to the official website, but for now allow me to share with you the top 5, of which the fourth one is my favorite. The PC version of Nioh has now been updated with mouse support and customizable keybindings
- By Ash
- in News
The PC version of Nioh arrived on Steam a little while ago to some highly positive reviews. However, while the gameplay itself was pretty damn stellar, the quality of the PC port left a lot to be desired. For example, it didn't even have proper mouse support, so if you wanted to play it you pretty much needed a controller.
Since that is far from ideal, I am now very glad to say that the developers have come back to address some of the issues. The most recent patch has finally added camera/action controls for mice, fully customizable keybindings, a fix for the analogue stick sensitivity issue, as well as a splattering of bug fixes. As you can see, its not the biggest patch in the world, but it should go a long way towards making the PC version of Nioh much more enjoyable to play.

Total War: Rome 2's Empire Divided DLC has now arrived on Steam, bringing with it 10 new factions and a whole bunch of new features to toy around with. You can expect to see stuff like plagues and banditry, cults and an overhauled politics system, new general skills and narrative technologies, updated building chains and new unique units, and the list goes on for quite a while.
If you're wondering what all of this might look like in-game, wonder no more as Creative Assembly has recently posted a lengthy gameplay video showing off the Zenobia campaign. Have a look, its a fairly interesting video:
