If you're looking for something to scratch your RPG itch, but you're not exactly sure what type of game you're even looking for, you might want to check out the currently ongoing Humble "Classics Return" Bundle. As the name would suggest, it features a variety of oldschool series that have recently seen a modern revival, though perhaps most importantly, it features a variety of great games!
For those of you interested in the RPGs you have the entire modern Shadowrun series, Wasteland 2 and Torment: Tides of Numenera, while those of you that prefer a bit of variety will be happy to hear that Age of Wonders 3 and Xenonauts are also included. Path of Exile's "Bestiary" update will rebalance Ascendancy classes and add a bunch of new enemies

While Blizzard seems content with keeping Diablo 3 on life support, Grinding Gear Games are soon going to unleash yet another massive update for Path of Exile. The aptly named Bestiary update will bring with it the ability to capture and sacrifice beasts in order to create extremely powerful items, a hefty rework of all the Ascendancy classes, new bosses and enemies to fight against, and naturally, a few new gems to toy around with.
If you're wondering what all of this looks like in-game, wonder no more as the devs have recently posted a brief trailer. It might not be very long, but it'll give you a pretty darn good idea of what to expect from the upcoming Bestiary update. Have a look:
Warcraft 3's latest update has added widescreen support and a whole bunch of balance changes

While I love the classic RTS series such as Command & Conquer, Starcraft and Age of Empires, it is Warcraft 3 that I consider to be the very best game among them. It's combination of small armies, powerful heroes and non-stop action made it an absolute joy to play, which is why I'm very happy to say that Blizzard has just now released a new update onto the test servers!
The rather boringly named Update 1.29 has brought with it support for widescreen resolutions, the ability to play custom games with up to 24 players, revised and expanded team colors, as well as a large variety of balance changes. And if that wasn't enough, the already powerful World Editor has been expanded with a whole bunch of new options, and perhaps most importantly, with greatly increased general limits!
The extremely colorful action-adventure game Fe has now arrived on PC and consoles

Fe is an action-adventure set admits a rather beautiful, albeit slightly psychedelic, Nordic forest full of lively critters and mysterious dangers. As you might expect from the genre, you will be spending most of your time running, jumping and gliding from location to location, though Fe does distinguish itself from the rest by giving you the ability to use songs in order to convince your fellow creatures to help you out.
Since most of Fe's focus is on the presentation and atmosphere, allow me to share with you the recently posted launch trailer. It's not a very long video, but it'll give you a pretty good idea of what to expect from Fe and its world. Have a look:
Vermintide 2 devs have extended the Closed Beta by 24 hours and are now offering 10,000 more keys

If you ever wanted to give Warhammer: Vermintide 2 a try ahead of its March 8th release date, now would be a very good time to do so! Simply head on over to the official website, follow the brief instructions, and you'll be given a free Closed Beta key if they are still available. I would advise you to do this as soon as possible because the Closed Beta has only been extended by another 24 hours (as of time of writing), and because there are only 10,000 new keys on offers.
As for whether Vermintide 2 is worth your time and effort, I would say the answer is a resounding yes. While the Closed Beta still has some issues, most notably with performance on one of the maps, it is a heap of fun and something I would highly recommend you at least try out. After all, it's completely free!
The "Papers, Please" short film adaptation has now been released for free on Youtube

After being teased for quite a while now, the "Papers, Please" short film adaptation has finally made its way to Youtube. As you would expect from the source material, it follows a lowly border crossing inspector in his dreadfully bleak and depressing day-to-day routine.
There is obviously more to it, but to say anything else would probably ruin the film for you, so I'd highly recommend just going in completely 'blind'. The whole thing is only nine minutes long, so even if you end up disliking it I'd say it was still well worth a look, if for no other reason than the overwhelming atmosphere. Anyway, here's the film:
Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption is an action-RPG where you have to sacrifice a part of yourself to challenge a boss

Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption belongs in the ever-growing category of games inspired by the Souls series. In other words, it features a dark and harrowing tale where very few characters will see a happy ending, a variety of unique weapons and playstyles to toy around with, as well as a whole bunch of bosses that will repeatedly smash you into the ground until you finally learn how to contend with them.
Where Sinner stands out from the rest, however, is in its rather unique approach to fighting bosses. Instead of constantly growing stronger and stronger, each boss fight will make you slightly weaker as you need to sacrifice a part of yourself in order to atone for some currently unknown sins. There will still be progression in the form of new equipment and weapons, so I must admit I'm quite curious to see how the developers will balance the whole system as its unlike anything I've seen so far!
