If you're a fan of the series but you haven't given Assassin's Creed 3 a try, you might be interested to hear that Ubisoft has now released a freshly remastered version. It brings with it all of the various DLCs, as well as support for 4K resolutions, enhanced visuals and new character models. Perhaps most importantly, there are also numerous improvements to the gameplay mechanics, mostly based on the features added in the more recent Assassin's Creed games.

You can get a pretty good idea of what this looks like in gameplay terms, as well as what Assassin's Creed 3 itself is all about, in the recently posted trailer. Have a gander:

As is unfortunately the tradition with many games these days, Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered has arrived alongside a variety of technical issues. I haven't played it myself as I'm not a big fan of Assassin's Creed 3 in general, but from what I can tell it would appear that everything from the in-game physics to the way shadows work has some sort of issue that will need to be resolved. So if you were planning to grab Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered in the near future, I would highly recommend you wait for a couple of weeks while Ubisoft fixes most of the egregious issues.
