[Update]: The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV has now concluded the massive saga on both PC and Switch!

The Trails of Cold Steel series has slowly been making its way to PC over the past few years, with each game garnering a massive amount of positive reviews. I'm happy to say that this trend has continued with Trails of Cold Steel III as it has only just released and it's already getting heaps of praise for both the gameplay and the quality of the PC port.

You don't have to take any of that for granted either, as Trails of Cold Steel III has a lengthy demo available on Steam. The demo is pretty much the entire prologue that introduces you to the characters, basic gameplay mechanics, world and overall storyline. So if you're even remotely curious about what Trails of Cold Steel III has to offer, the demo is well worth checking out.

Experimental Overwatch update has greatly buffed Ashe and Pharah, while also nefring Mei

[Update #2]: After barely any time spent in testing, these balance changes have already been applied to the live version of Overwatch!

[Update]: Blizzard are also currently in the process of reworking how the Competitive Map Pools will function.

Week 4 of Overwatch Hero Bans removed D.Va and most of the popular hitscan DPS heroes from Competitive Play. The goal behind these bans, as is now quite apparent, was to test whether Ashe and Pharah are well-balanced heroes that are limited by the meta, or if they're simply being overshadowed by their competition.

Given that Blizzard has now issued an experimental update that greatly buffs both Ashe and Pharah, it would sadly appear that neither hero performed particularly well even when given the perfect environment. As an additional little bonus, Blizzard has also buffed Genji's right click, as well as nerfed Mei's ammo capacity and Reinhardt's knockback reduction. Here are all of the details:

Simply head on over to the Ubisoft website, create or log into your account, and you'll be able to grab Rayman Legends for the low, low price of absolutely nothing.

You might want to hurry, however, as there is a bit of a strict time limit. [Update #2]: Jill Valentine will be heading over to Resident Evil Resistance on April 17, 2020.

[Update]: Resident Evil 3 and its companion Resident Evil 3 Resistance have been released, though sadly they don't seem to have lived up to the high standards set by Resident Evil 2.

Resident Evil Resistance is a 4v1 asymmetrical multiplayer game that pits a group of four survivors against an evil mastermind that needs to destroy them through the use of nasty traps and classic Resident Evil enemies. It was supposed to go into open beta on March 27th, but unfortunately the servers ran into some technical issues and the whole thing needed to be delayed.

The problems have now finally been sorted out, and as such the open beta is now fully live on PC as well. If you would like to participate, all you need to do is head on over to Steam, download yourself a copy of the beta, and you'll be running around zombies like a madman in no time.

Development on the wacky battle royale game Totally Accurate Battlegrounds has been resumed

Totally Accurate Battlegrounds, from the developers behind Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, is essentially a parody of the Battle Royale genre. However, while everything surrounding TABG is intentionally goofy and stupid, it's also a surprisingly fun little shooter with some interesting locations to duke it out in.

Sadly, as is often the case with indie games, the moment it faded away from the spotlight was also the moment the playerbase pretty much vanished. And since a Battle Royale game without a sizable playerbase is basically not a game at all, things weren't exactly looking good for TABG.

[Update #2]: It took a fair bit longer, but Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord will be unleashed on October 25th, 2022.

[Update]: If all goes well, Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord will be launching in late 2021.

Quite a few years have gone by since Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord was first announced, but the long wait is now finally over as Bannerlord has just launched onto Steam Early Access! While the initial version is obviously unfinished, the good news is that it's pretty stable and quite playable, so you should be able to have a good bit of fun with it.

No exact release date has been announced just yet, but according to the brief description, Bannerlord will be in Early Access for around a year. Expect to see updates add unique maps for every town and castle in the game, a variety of new quest content, voice overs for numerous NPCs, and naturally, balancing, bug fixing and quality of life improvements. Needless to say, don't be surprised if Bannerlord ends up being in Early Access for a fair bit longer than expected given how ambitious it really is.
