[Update #2]: Mafia: Definitive Edition, a full remake of the classic game, has now been unleashed.

[Update]: Mafia: Definitive Edition devs have shared a lengthy gameplay preview of the upcoming remake. Also, the release date has been pushed back from August to September 25th.

If you were surprised when 2K Games suddenly revealed the Mafia: Trilogy collection for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, you might be even more shocked to hear that the trilogy has now already launched! However, it isn't entirely complete just yet given that this 'trilogy' currently only contains two games: the most recent Mafia 3, and an HD remaster of Mafia 2.

The most exciting part of the collection, a full remake of Mafia 1, will be arriving on August 28th as a free update for all current and future owners. While the exact details are few and far between, expect Mafia: Definitive Edition to be rebuilt from the ground up with greatly improved visuals and expanded dialogue, more storylines and backstories to explore, additional cutscenes and gameplay features, as well as a variety of other minor enhancements and upgrades.

Originally, Koei Tecmo and Gust Studios' JRPG Fairy Tail was supposed to launch on March 19th, but was delayed in order to ensure the developers have enough time to get everything as polished as possible. Unfortunately, the currently ongoing pandemic has thrown yet another wrench into the gears, and as such Fairy Tail has now been delayed once again.

Thankfully, the delay this time around isn't anywhere near as long. So instead of being unleashed in late June as previously announced, Fairy Tail's release date has now been moved to July 30th.

PC version of the hugely popular JRPG MMO Phantasy Star Online 2 was supposed to arrive to the west quite a few years ago. However, while the exact details about what happened never surfaced, the western PC release ended up being quietly canceled at some point and its website shut down.

Usually that would be where the story ends, but thankfully this one has a bit of a happy ending. It may have taken nearly a decade, but according to Microsoft and SEGA, the western PC version of Phantasy Star Online 2 will be launching on May 27th!
