Ys IX: Monstrum Nox official artwork without logo

[Update #2]: Ys IX: Monstrum Nox has now landed onto PC and Switch, and so far it's looking pretty good!

[Update]: PC version of Ys IX: Monstrum Nox now has a free demo available on Steam.

After spending a fair bit of time on PlayStation 4, the western version of Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is now finally getting ready to move onto other platforms. In other words, you can expect to see it launch onto PC and Switch on July 6, 2021!

As for what exactly Ys IX looks and plays like, that you can find out through the freshly posted trailer. Have a gander, it's a rather short one:

I obviously can't speak from personal experience when it comes to its quality, but from what I've gathered it seems like Ys IX will bring with it some highly compelling gameplay and a rather forgettable story. And for a Ys game, I think that is perfectly fine as the challenging combat really is the main draw. So as long as Ys IX doesn't end up suffering from the same problems as the initial version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, I think it should be a pretty good time.

Whatever the case may be, I'll make sure to let you know once Ys IX is ready to launch. Until then, you can read a bit more about it by heading over to the Ys website. Enjoy!
