Warhammer 40,000: Darktide official artwork for the dark co-op shooter

[Update #2]: My review for Darktide is now live and, long story short, it's as rough and fascinating as the world it takes place in!

[Update]: I have a few extra bits of good news to share! First of all, Fatshark has released a fancy new cinematic trailer for Darktide showing off the world and the fate of the fan-favorite Guardsmen squad. Furthermore, there's going to be a pre-launch beta starting on November 17th, and last but not least, Vermintide veterans will be getting a small cosmetic DLC as a gift.

If you're itching to get your hands on Warhammer 40,000: Darktide and you don't feel like waiting all the way until November 30th to do so, you'll be happy to hear the Closed Beta is coming soon! It will take place between October 14-16, and since the console version still needs a bit more work, the beta will be exclusively available on PC.

In order to join in on the fun all you need to do is head on over to the Darktide website and fill out the sign-up form with basic details like your platform, region and hardware specs. Given that this is a Closed Beta entry is not guaranteed, though I'd still recommend signing up since I highly doubt Fatshark will be skimping out on the number of invites.

The exact contents of the beta have not been announced just yet, but you can get a pretty good idea of what Darktide's gameplay is all about through the recent Gamescom trailer. Have a gander:

Once the Closed Beta goes live I'll make sure to let you know, and if I manage to get in I'll also give you a detailed rundown of just what Darktide has to offer and how it compares to the Vermintide series. Until then, I'm afraid all we can really do is sit and wait.
