Total War: Warhammer in-game screenshot of the Bretonnia faction

Total War: Warhammer will be getting a massive free update on February 28th, and among all of the new additions the most interesting one is the arrival of Bretonnia as a playable faction on the campaign map. It will come with three Legendary Lords (King Louen Leoncoeur, Alberic of Bordeleaux and the Fay Enchantress), unique quests and starting positions for each one, as well as a whole host of updated units.

If you're interested in seeing what Bretonnia looks like in action, you'll find the most recent preview video right below. It features ~12 minutes of campaign gameplay, going over pretty much everything you need to know about Bretonnia before jumping in yourself. There is unfortunately no combat, but I'm sure that video will be coming in the near future as well. Anyway, have a look:

Besides Bretonnia, February 28th will also bring with it the official Battle Map Editor, which for some reason is named Terry. Once it arrives you'll be able to create any type of battle map using all of the props, enviromental models, SFX and VFX present in Total War: Warhammer. These maps can then be shared, rated, and downloaded via the Steam Workshop, and most importantly, imported into the singleplayer campaign itself!

If all of this sounds exciting to you, but you don't actually own Total War: Warhammer, you're in luck as the currently ongoing Humble Monthly bundle is offering it at a ridiculously low $12 alongside a bunch of other games. Just make sure to unsubscribe early next month if you're only doing this for Total War: Warhammer. Don't worry, you won't be billed again until half-way through the next month, but its best to do it early or you might just forget. Have fun!
