[Update #2]: The Greenskins focused The Warden & The Paunch DLC has now arrived, and unsurprisingly, it's yet another pretty good one.

[Update]: The next DLC will bring with it some major improvements for the Greenskins.

It is well known at this point that Creative Assembly is currently working on Total War: Warhammer 3. However, despite the sequel being in heavy development, it seems that Total War: Warhammer 2 has not been forgotten as the studio has just announced they're still planning to have at least two major updates and accompanying DLCs.

The details behind these updates are currently shrouded in mystery, but what I can tell you is that the next free update will bring with it a brand new Legendary Lord, improvements to the Old World and its factions, as well as a new mount. As for when exactly this update will arrive, Creative Assembly hasn't specified just yet, but it's likely that we'll be able to play around with it at some point in May.

When it comes to the paid DLC, it's pretty much the same story when it comes to a lack of details. That said, Creative Assembly has revealed that the next update will heavily focus on the Greenskins, so I wouldn't be surprised if the DLC ends up being about them and one of the Total War: Warhammer 2 races, kind of like the Hunter and the Beast DLC.

If you're willing to indulge a bit of speculation, however, the prevailing theory is that the next DLC will feature Eltharion the Grim for the High Elves and Grom the Paunch for the Greenskins. This would give Creative Assembly a chance to flesh out both races with some much-needed units, as well as offer a bit of a unique starting position for the very Badlands-centric Greenskins.

Whatever the case may be, I'll make sure to let you know once the full announcement goes live. Until then, have fun conquering the world!
