Total War: Warhammer 2 official artwork and logo for The Hunter & The Beast DLC

[Update]: The latest patch has now corrected the multiplayer crashing problems, as well as significantly nerfed the Empire's Markus Wulfhart.

If you're looking for an excuse to take Total War: Warhammer 2 for another spin, you might be glad to hear that The Hunter & The Beast DLC has now arrived. It brings with it a brand new Legendary Lord for the Lizardmen (Nakai the Wanderer) and Empire (Markus Wulfhart), a variety of fancy new units, new regiments of renown, and perhaps most importantly, new campaign mechanics for both factions to explore.

As for what exactly the DLC is themed after, that you will find out through the recently posted launch trailer. Have a peek, it'll give you some much-needed context:

Besides all of the paid content, this update has also brought in some excellent improvements for the Empire. You can now construct great fortresses to protect your most exposed regions, explore a newly updated Empire campaign map, as well as wrangle with your fellow Elector Counts through either politics or might. In other words, the Empire campaign has just become a whole lot more interesting!

If you prefer the Lizardmen, however, worry not as they have also received a nice bit of free content - Gor-Rok as a brand new Legendary Lord. He not only starts in the rich temple city of Itza, but he also gets immediate access to the immensely powerful Lord Kroak. Combine this with Gor-Rok's considerable melee prowess and a region littered with enemies, and you've got yourself a Legendary Lord that's perfect for all-out aggressive playstyles.

You can read a little bit more about the new additions, as well as grab the DLC itself, over at Steam. Enjoy!
