[Update]: 15 years after its original launch, Titan Quest has just received a new expansion - Eternal Embers. Here's to hoping Titan Quest 2 will follow shortly as well!

After being mostly forgotten for an entire decade, Titan Quest underwent a bit of a revival over the past few years. The Anniversary Edition set the foundations back in 2016, after which the Ragnarok and Atlantis expansions beefed up the oldschool ARPG with a ton of new content to mess around with.

The good news doesn't end there as HandyGames, a studio under THQ Nordic's banner, has recently shared a teaser for their brand new game. While they didn't announce any details about this new project, the artwork fits the Titan Quest world and themes extremely well, leading many (including me) to believe that this might just be Titan Quest 2!

It certainly would be a good time to bring it back, given that ARPGs are currently in a very comfortable position. Path of Exile and Diablo 3 have been going strong for years at this point, Minecraft Dungeons has introduced a whole bunch of new players to the genre, and upcoming games like Diablo 4 are bound to bring even more attention to it all. So if there was ever a time to modernize Titan Quest, this would be it!

Whatever the case may be, I'll make sure to let you know once HandyGames finally unleash all of the details. When exactly that might happen, nobody knows, but I have a feeling it'll be sooner rather than later since this new game is set to launch at some point in 2021.
