Concept artwork for the original Titanfall game

After years of Origin exclusivity on PC, EA has recently started moving the vast majority of their games onto Steam. This includes primarily singleplayer games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect, as well as more multiplayer focused ones like Apex Legends and Star Wars: The Old Republic.

With the whole process now nearing its conclusion, I'm very happy to say that the final piece of Respawn Entertainment's catalog has now finally transitioned to Steam! Naturally, I'm talking about the highly ambitious and fast-paced shooter Titanfall!

While Titanfall 2 is by far the more approachable game, if for no other reason than it having a compelling singleplayer campaign, I can't help but feel like the original Titanfall offered a much more exciting multiplayer experience. I especially loved how durable the titular Titans were, which made them a much more omnipresent and serious threat if the pilot themselves was skilled. By comparison, the Titanfall 2 ones were far too much of a glass cannon for my taste, even if they were improved in a variety of other ways.

All of this is obviously up for debate, but if you're a fan of Titanfall 2 and you're willing to spend a bit of money to see what the series evolved from, I'd say that the original Titanfall is well worth revisiting. Doubly so right now given that the Steam release has undoubtedly beefed up the player count!

Have fun, and before you make up your mind either way, I'd highly recommend checking out some of the user reviews on Steam.
