[Update]: Sea of Thieves has been pinned for a June 3rd release date on Steam.

The multiplayer-focused pirate adventure and exploration game Sea of Thieves docked onto PC and Xbox One back in March. While it landed to nearly overwhelming praise, those kind words quickly and unfortunately gave way to frustration as players realized that there just wasn't enough content in Sea of Thieves to keep them engaged for long.

With that in mind, I am glad to say that Sea of Thieves has now released a major update by the name of Forsaken Shores. It brings with it a brand new region to explore, volcanoes and earthquakes to avoid, boiling seas to cross in the newly introduced rowboats, as well as numerous new cargo missions to undertake. How long this content will last, I'm afraid I have no idea, but there certainly seems to be a considerable amount of new stuff to toy around with!

If you're curious about what all of this looks like in-game, as well as what the update is planning to accomplish, allow me to share with you the recently posted trailer. Have a look, it's quite an entertaining video:

If you prefer the written word, however, you can learn more about Sea of Thieves and it's Forgotten Shore update by visiting the official website. Have fun, and do try not to destroy all of your precious cargo right outside of the port... not that I would ever do that.
