As you're probably aware at this point, Sea of Thieves is a multiplayer focused pirate adventure and exploration game that's all about sailing the high seas, searching for hidden treasure and artifacts to plunder, attacking other players in order to get their share of the booty as well, and then hopefully making it back to port before someone else returns the favor. It's about as simple as it gets, but as the recently held beta test have shown, it's a concept that is surprisingly enjoyable in short bursts.

If you're still confused and you're wondering what exactly Sea of Thieves has to offer, allow me to share with you a developer video that answers just that question. It's a little bit on the lengthy side, but it should give you a darn good idea of whether Sea of Thieves is a game you'd enjoy or not. Have a gander:

I haven't played the full version so take the following with a few grains of salt, but after my experiences with the most recent beta test I am slightly worried about Sea of Thieves' longevity. I was hoping there would be massive changes between the beta and full release, but outside of some bug fixes there doesn't appear to be anything drastically different on the gameplay front. On one hand this is great as Sea of Thieves is genuinely fun to play, but on the other hand it's also highly problematic as you'll quickly start running out of interesting content to do.

So unless you're insanely hyped about what Sea of Thieves has to offer, I would seriously recommend waiting for a couple of weeks in order to see what the consensus is. I genuinely hope I'm wrong and that Rare has filled the end-game with untold wonders to explore and pillage, but until such a revelation comes to light it's just better to play it safe.
