[Update]: Sea of Thieves has now landed onto Steam with cross-play between all three versions.

Out of pretty much nowhere, Sea of Thieves recently got its very own Steam page and a brief announcement stating that it'll be coming soon. Well, as it turns out, "soon" really does mean soon in this case as the Steam version of Sea of Thieves has just been pinned for a June 3rd release date!

In order to give everyone an idea of what Sea of Thieves has to offer, as well as how much it has improved over time, the developers have also released a brand new trailer. Have a gander, it's a fairly short and action-packed one:

When it comes to price, Steam will be on the exact same footing as the Microsoft Store. In other words, expect Sea of Thieves to set you back $39.99 USD/£34.99 GBP/€39.99 EUR.

Whether it's worth the price tag or not, that is something only you can answer, but what I can say is that you should ideally dive into Sea of Thieves with a friend or two. It's a highly social experience, and unless you're extremely extroverted and capable of wrangling an entire crew for yourself within minutes, it'll be far more enjoyable to have someone you can just goof around with.

Whatever your choice may be, you can learn more about Sea of Thieves, as well as grab the new version as soon as it goes live, over at Steam. Happy sailing!
