Overwatch Halloween Terror D.Va fox skin with cat ears

[Update]: Overwatch's Halloween Terror 2020 event has arrived alongside an assortment of awesome cosmetics, as well as the Soldier 76 weapon rework!

With the spookiest month of the year now nearly halfway through, it should come as no surprise to hear that Blizzard has now announced the next arrival of the annual Halloween Terror event. You can expect to see it this October 13th alongside a whole host of awesome new cosmetics, and if we're lucky, a balance focused update that will rework how Soldier 76's rifle functions.

While not all of the cosmetics have been announced so far, the ones revealed through Twitter have been genuinely impressive. So impressive, in fact, that I feel really bad for D.Va players right about now. They've only recently received an amazing new legendary skin, and already the Halloween event is upping the ante!

Much like before, there will three challenges to complete throughout the event, each of which will award one of the new skins. You'll have a full week to complete each challenge, which should be easy enough considering that you only need to achieve nine wins in any official game mode, be that Quick Play, Competitive Play or the Arcade. Personally, I'd recommend going with the Arcade route as that'll also give you three additional loot boxes as a nice little freebie.

As for Junkenstein's Revenge, the PvE game mode, I can only hope Blizzard will spruce it up like they've done with Lucioball in the Summer Games 2020 event. After all, it's focused around PvE just like Overwatch 2, so if there ever was a place to test out some new and potentially interesting mechanics, Junkenstein's Revenge would be the ideal choice!

Whatever the case may be, I'll make sure to let you know once the Halloween Terror event goes live. Until then, I'd recommend saving up some in-game credits for the new cosmetics!
