[Update #2]: Overwatch is getting its very own novel starring Orisa and Efi - The Hero of Numbani.

[Update]: Blizzard has now released a Mercy short story alongside her very own challenge skin.

After what feels like an eternity of waiting, Blizzard has now once again released some juicy Overwatch lore. Without going into too much detail, the "What you left behind" short story explores Baptiste's ties to Talon, the reason he left the organization, as well as teases what might just be a brand new tank hero!

You can find the full short story over at the official website, and if you're a fan of Overwatch lore, I would highly recommend you give it a read as it's actually a pretty fun one. Also, you might want to check out the skin teaser at the very bottom as that's what we're getting in the near future!

Much like the Bastet Ana and Nano Cola D.Va, you will be able to unlock the new medic Baptiste skin by completing some sort of in-game challenge. Nothing has been officially announced just yet, but given the previous two events I think it's safe to say it'll be another "win 9 games" type of ordeal.

As for Mauga, the mountain of a man from the short story, I really do hope he ends up being one of the next few heroes. Not only is his design pretty fun, but his personality and heavy-weapons focused playstyle seem like they would be a perfect fit for Overwatch - a sort of anti-Reinhardt if you will. That, and we sure could use more shield-tank options for those of us that aren't a fan of either Reinhardt or Orisa!
