MTG Arena Kamigawa Alchemy artwork for the Better Offer card

[Update #2]: MTG Arena will be adding a bunch of Commander Legends cards with July 2022's Alchemy Horizons set.

[Update]: MTG Arena's 30 card Alchemy: Kamigawa mini-set has now been unleashed.

Alchemy is MTG Arena's digital-only format that functions as a sort of spin-off of Standard. It contains all of the currently legal Standard with a couple of balance changes here and there, along with a variety of new and Alchemy exclusive cards to help spice up the format.

The latter is the topic of today's article, as Wizards of the Coast has just revealed that the next Alchemy focused mini-set Alchemy: Kamigawa will be launching on March 17th, 2022. It'll once again bring with it a variety of new cards that make use of the digital design space, though the number of them will be a bit lower than in the previous set in order to not overwhelm the fledgling format.

While the exact list of cards has not been revealed just yet, you can check out some of the previews over at the MTG website. It's hard to judge just how competitive some of these new cards will truly be, but if nothing else they are at least going to be interesting to mess around with!

Once the Alchemy: Kamigawa mini-set arrives I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, you might want to try out the recently buffed Dungeon and Venture cards as they ended up being strong enough to help Eli Kassis win the Neon Dynasty Championship. Don't think anyone expected that when the buffs were first previewed!
