[Update #2]: Empire of Sin has now been pinned for a December 1, 2020 release date.

[Update]: Empire of Sin has now been delayed until fall of 2020 in order to give the developers enough time to polish everything up.

While there are quite a few turn-based strategy games available these days, very few of them devote any serious time or effort to non-combat elements. If you feel like that's a bit of a waste of potential, you might be interested to hear that Romero Games are currently working on Empire of Sin - a turn-based strategy game where combat and management stand shoulder to shoulder.

You'll be expected to make and break alliances, bribe cops and stay out of the public eye, spread your influence and recruit a variety of seedy characters, and perhaps most interestingly of all, ensure through any means necessary that your newfound allies remain loyal. Once diplomacy and sheer intimidation fail, however, you will need to resort to a rather familiar turn-based combat system in order to deal with your enemies and expand your territory.

You can get a pretty good idea of what all of this looks like in gameplay terms, as well as what sort of atmosphere Empire of Sin is going for, through the recently posted trailer down below. Have a gander:

Empire of Sin will be coming to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in spring 2020. You can learn a little bit more about it, as well as follow any future updates, over at the official website.
