[Update #2]: World of Warcraft's Update 10.1.5 has arrived with a new mega-dungeon, Evoker Augmentation specialization and a lot more.

[Update]: Patch 10.1 - Embers of Neltharion has now been unleashed, and I'm happy to say that it's looking quite good so far!

After a couple of months dedicated to getting everyone's characters to max level and up to speed in terms of gear, the time has finally come for a brand new content update. Once it arrives this May 2nd, Update 10.1 - Embers of Neltharion will bring with it Zaralek Caverns as a hefty new zone to explore, a new chapter of the story campaign that will have us square off against one of the freshly freed Incarnates, cross-faction guilds, and naturally, a new raid by the name of Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible to plunder for sweet, sweet loot!

Much like before, Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible won't be opening its doors on the very same day the patch arrives, but rather a week later so everyone has a chance to explore the new zone at their own pace. Here's what the full schedule's going to look like:

Week of May 9: Raid Finder Wing 1, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties will open with the weekly maintenance for each region
Week of May 23: Raid Finder Wing 2 opens
Week of June 6: Raid Finder Wing 3 opens
Week of June 20: Raid Finder Wing 4 opens

As you might expect, an update of this size will also bring with it a whole bunch of quality-of-life improvements, balance changes and general tweaks. These include new and reworked Mythic+ affixes, a simplified and unified upgrade system, a 25% increase in player health and enemy damage, and even some massive changes to Priests.

Rather than ramble on, allow me to share with you the recently posted patch overview that should hopefully give you a good idea of what's coming, as well as how it all looks like in action. Have a peek:

If you prefer the written word, or if you're just looking for the actual numbers behind each change, you'll find what you seek over at the official website. Before you dive in I'd highly recommend brewing up a cup of coffee as the list is absolutely massive and spans multiple pages, so if you're aiming to go through everything at once you're going to be there for a while!

[Update]: Blizzard has added a few more balance tweaks onto the pile. Havoc Demon Hunters have snagged themselves some nifty buffs, while Protection Paladins have received a small but noticeable nerf.

Have fun theorycrafting new builds, and I'll make sure to let you know once Update 10.1 actually goes live.
