[Update]: Season 5 has now arrived with a whole bunch of changes in tow, including a rather excellent rework of Mirage!

Apex Legends' Season 5 update is set to arrive tomorrow, May 12th, alongside a bunch of new content. Expect to see the first ever story quests, a hefty rework of Kings Canyon that will see Skull Town and Thunderdome utterly obliterated, a variety of cosmetic goodies to collect, and perhaps most importantly of all, a trickster Legend by the name of Loba.

If you're curious what exactly Loba looks like in action, as well as what her abilities have to offer, you'll find your answers in the recently posted preview. Have a gander, it's a short but sweet one:

When it comes to Loba's power level, the devil is going to be in the details. In theory, having both teleportation and an easy way to loot every single deathbox within a large radius is incredibly useful. In practice, however, both are going to heavily depend on how loud they are, as well as how long they lock you into animations. We can already see that the teleportation ability has some serious downtime on both ends, so who knows, Loba might not be as slippery as she seems at first glance.

Either way, I look forward to giving her a try. The Translocator from Unreal Tournament is still one of my favorite ways of getting around, so if Loba's teleport can manage to be even half as good, I have a feeling playing as her is going to be a pretty great time!
