Dota 2's Custom Game Pass is here to help modders out

After the paid Skyrim mods fiasco I didn't expect Valve would be back so soon with a new implementation, nor that it would be a genuinely good one.

Valve's latest answer to the age old problem of how to support custom game developers is the Custom Game Pass, an in-game purchasable item that grants you additional content or features in select custom games within Dota 2. Here's how it works:

Total War: Warhammer Vampire Counts faction vs Dwarves

If you're interested in playing a complex and morally ambiguous race then look elsewhere as the Vampire Counts are as mustache-twirling evil as it gets. Even pronouncing their name really quickly leads to an insult!

What they do have, however, is countless hordes of undead, extremely large shoulder pads, zombie dragons, and an amazingly well done in-engine trailer. Have a look, its 3 full minutes of the best kind of cheesiness:

System Shock 1 Remastered gameplay footage

[Update]: After nearly seven years in development, the System Shock Remake will finally be launching in March 2023!

The original System Shock 1 released over 20 years ago, and if you would attempt to play it today that fact would become apparent very quickly as the gameplay has not aged well.

However, the first gameplay footage from the upcoming System Shock 1 Remaster tells a completely different story. Not only does it look good, but it also seems to be far less clunky as well. Have a look, and I do hope you like jump-cuts:
