Necropolis, an action-orientated roguelike, has been updated with a bunch of new free content

As a massive fan of both roguelikes and Dark Souls inspired combat I must admit I was fairly excited about Necropolis. Unfortunately, it ended up releasing as a bit of a broken mess, not in the technical sense, but more so in terms of enemy variety and difficulty. To put it simply, there were too few unique enemies, and the ones you did encounter were all easily dispatched in the same sort of fashion.

After receiving some less than pleasant reviews the developers then vowed to release a series of free updates, all with the intent of turning Necropolis into the game everyone hoped it would be from the very beginning. Now, a few months later, the first of these updates has arrived with a new playable character, over 50 additional environments to explore, a whole bunch of new enemies and loot, as well as a large assortment of balance changes.

If you're wondering what all of this looks like, wonder no more as Harebrained Schemes have released a brief preview video showcasing the new hero, locations, and monsters. Have a look:

Titan Quest's Anniversary Edition is free on Steam for all owners of the original

Titan Quest, along with Diablo 2, used to be one of those games I played for innumerable amounts of hours every single day. While I still consider it to be one of the best ARPG games out there, there is no denying the simple fact that the original version of Titan Quest is a buggy mess that's also prone to frequent crashes.

As it turns out, THQ Nordic is also well aware of these problems, but unlike me they were in a position to actually do something about it... and so they did! The end result of all their hard work is the Titan Quest Anniversary Edition, a massively updated version of the original that includes the Immortal Throne expansion and over 10 years of bug fixes.

Since there is unfortunately no official trailer showcasing the differences between the two versions, allow me to instead show you the Immortal Throne story trailer/intro cinematic. It has aged surprisingly well, especially when you consider how far we've gone in terms of graphics. Have a look:

Path of Exile's Atlas of Worlds boss

If you've been playing World of Warcraft: Legion for as much as I have this past week, you may have missed a rather important update for Path of Exile - the Atlas of Worlds. It brought with it a complete redesign of the end-game system, a whole bunch of new maps to slaughter your enemies in, two new leagues, and naturally, a ton of shiny new items to collect.

For those of you interested in seeing what all of this new content looks like, you'll find the official announcement video below. It doesn't go into much detail, it is just a trailer after all, but it will at the very least give you a glimpse at the new content and bosses. Have a look:

Chivalry devs have released a lengthy gameplay preview for the upcoming Mirage: Arcane Warfare

If you're of the opinion that Chivalry: Medieval Warfare can only be improved by the addition of gigantic fireballs and even more outlandish yelling, you'll most likely find what you're looking for in Torn Banner Studio's upcoming Mirage: Arcane Warfare. As you might expect from the name alone, Mirage is a skill-based multiplayer FPS (probably need to replace the shooter with slicer there) that's all about tearing your enemies limb from limb with either magic or good ol' fashioned melee combat.

With the closed alpha test just around the corner, Torn Banner has decided to post a rather lengthy gameplay teaser showcasing Mirage in its current state. You'll find the video below, but do keep in mind that all of this is still early alpha footage:

Mother Russia Bleeds, a Streets of Rage inspired beat 'em up, is now available

If you ever found yourself itching for an ultra-violent beat 'em up, one that doesn't shy away from gore and other nastiness, you'll be quite happy to hear that Mother Russia Bleeds has now been officially released. While the gameplay is fairly similar to many other beat 'em ups, most notably Streets of Rage, it is the art style and overall theme that sets Mother Russia Bleeds apart from the rest.

Since trying to explain an art style in only a couple of paragraphs is a fool's venture, allow me to instead show you the recently posted launch trailer. The video is right below, but do be warned, it contains plenty of cartoony violence... and I do mean plenty! Have a look:

The Walking Dead Season 3 official artwork

If you've played through The Walking Dead: Season 2, you're now most likely wondering what in the world is Telltale planning for Season 3. Not only were some of the Season 2 endings quite definitive, they also differed wildly when it comes to outcomes, surviving characters, and even locations.

While I unfortunately can't give you much of an answer to that question, I do bring some good news - Telltale's The Walking Dead: A New Frontier will be arriving for all platforms this November, so you won't have to wait for too long in order to find out what happened. And just in case you missed the relatively recent teaser trailer for Season 3, here it is:

Since Warlords of Draenor received an overwhelming amount of criticism over its complete and utter lack of content, Blizzard has decided to start off the Legion expansion on a more positive note - by announcing a massive content update a mere month after release.

Patch 7.1, or rather the Return to Kharazan, will bring with it Kharazan as a challenging five player dungeon, a brand new Trial of Valor raid, and for those that prefer the open world questing experience - a series of missions and weekly quests based in Suramar. If you're wondering what all of this looks like, here's a recently posted video preview, as well as a brief overview of what exactly you can expect from each of the new features:
