Dota 2's Update 7.00 is coming tomorrow with some of the biggest changes the game has ever seen

[Update]: Version 7.00 has now been unleashed onto the live servers!
After spending well over a decade in version 6.XX, Dota 2 will finally be transitioning to version 7.00 with tomorrow's update. As you might expect given the time frame involved, the upcoming update is ridiculously large! Monkey King is joining the roster as a brand new hero; there are a stunning number of balance changes; the UI has been completely redesigned; there is now an extra inventory that you can use to store wards and other such items; heroes can choose from a variety of talents in order to amplify their spells and abilities; Roshan has been moved from his age-old stronghold; and there's a whole bunch of other changes I could never fit into even this massively over-bloated paragraph.
That last part wasn't a joke, by the way. Update 7.00 is so ridiculously large that even attempting to summarize and analyze it would take us the better part of the day, so if you're interested in all of the details I would recommend you head on over to the official website. I would also suggest brewing up some coffee before you dive in as you're going to be stuck in there for quite a while!
And while I cannot give you a good analysis of all these new changes, I can at the very least give you a brief list of some of the most important ones. So here it is:

The holiday season really is a time for miracles because Activision just recently announced a massive, and completely free DLC for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. It will bring with it six new remastered multiplayer maps to toy around with, a new holiday themed Winter Crash map, as well as two new game modes: Gun Game and Hardpoint.
If you're interested in seeing some of these maps in action, you'll find the recently posted and rather well choreographed trailer down below. Have a look:
The Elder Scrolls: Legends is getting a rather crazy "Chaos Arena" event on December 14

If you're a fan of Hearthstone's Tavern Brawl, and if you consider the mad god Sheogorath a lovable companion, you'll be glad to hear that the "Chaos Arena" event is coming to The Elder Scrolls: Legends this Wednesday. The Chaos Arena will last from December 14 through December 19, bringing with it a bunch of new and completely ridiculous scenarios, as well as a couple of interesting new lane conditions.
For those of you that might not enjoy this sort of thing, allow me to just say that the solo and versus mode will remain active throughout the event, so don't worry about the entire game descending into madness. But for the rest of you, here's what Sheogorath's new Chaos Arena has in store:
The free open beta for Gigantic, an action orientated MOBA, has now begun

Gigantic, an action orientated MOBA most similar to SMITE, has now entered its open beta phase. As you might expect, both the beta and the eventual launch version are fully free-to-play, so if you're up for giving it a try head on over to the Windows 10 Store. And don't worry about losing your progress, there will be no accounts resets from here on out.
On the other hand, if you have no idea what Gigantic is all about and need a bit more information before you decide to pull the trigger, here's the recently posted beta trailer. It doesn't feature much in terms of gameplay, but it should still give you a pretty damn good idea on whether this is the type of game you'd enjoy or not. Have a look:

Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf, a turn-based tactics game with numerous RPG and card game elements, is set to arrive this February 16th to Steam Early Access. While originally made for mobile phones, Space Wolf will launch on PC with improved graphics, numerous balance changes, a redesigned UI, and greatly reworked weaponry.
If you're wondering what this might look like in terms of gameplay, here's one of the original trailers for the mobile version. Its a bit outdated by this point, and most definitely graphically inferior, but it should at least give you an idea of what the gameplay is like. Have a look:

Conan Exiles, an open-world survival game with a heavy focused on teamwork, is set to arrive in Early Access this January. It will bring with it a massive wasteland to explore, giant snake gods to appease, ancient ruins and temples to delve, as well as variety of rather... unpleasant natives to contend with.
Since all of this might be a bit overwhelming at first glance, Funcom has decided to release a brief overview of how to survive in the harsh wilderness of Conan Exiles. If you prefer the more detailed written version you can find it over here, but if you would instead like to see all of it in action you'll find the preview video down below. Have a look:
The Walking Dead Season 1 is free for Twitch Prime members until December 13

One of the main benefits of owning Twitch Prime, besides the ad-free streams and a subscription to a channel of your choice, is the variety of free games and bonus in-game loot that rotate on a monthly basis. Last month this was in-game goodies for Watch Dogs 2, as well as free copies of Punch Club and This War of Mine, while this month is starting off with one of my favorites - The Walking Dead: Season 1.
So if by some miracle you still haven't played The Walking Dead, but you own a Twitch Prime membership, head on over here to claim your free copy. Do bear in mind, however, that this whole promotion will end on December 13, so don't wait for too long or you might just miss it.
