Crackdown 3 has been delayed once more, this time to spring 2018

After being announced back in 2014, the open-world action-adventure Crackdown 3 has been delayed over and over again. While I wish I could tell you that the trend has now finally reversed itself and that Crackdown 3 will be arriving later this year as expected, I'm afraid that it has been delayed yet again.
Crackdown 3 was set to release alongside the Xbox One X this November 7th, but according to a Polygon interview with Microsoft Studios Publishing boss Shannon Loftis the release date has been pushed back to a rather ambiguous "spring 2018". As you might imagine, the delay has been made in order to ensure that Crackdown 3 releases as polished as it can possibly be. Here's the full quote:

After a rather lengthy period of silence Capcom has recently started posting wave after wave of Monster Hunter: World trailers. A few weeks ago they released 14 new videos showcasing all of the available weapon types and potential combos, while today's video offers a good look at the surprisingly gorgeous Wildspire Waste zone.
So if you're interested in seeing what Monster Hunter: World will look like, and more importantly what it will play like, you'll find the most recent gameplay trailer right below. Its definitely worth the two minutes as the Wildspire Waste really is a pleasure to behold. Anyway, here's the video:
The RTS/RPG hybrid SpellForce 3 now has a new cinematic trailer explaining the story so far

- in News
Despite it technically being the third installment of the SpellForce series, the upcoming SpellForce 3 is actually the 8th game when you consider all of the expansion packs. They might not have added much when it comes to new mechanics and gameplay elements, but they did greatly expand upon the story. As such, starting the series with SpellForce 3 might be slightly problematic given the amount of lore there is to plunge into.
In order to get everyone on the same page, and also show off some rather lovely spell effects, the SpellForce 3 developers have now released the official cinematic trailer. Our 'totally not Geralt of Rivia' narrator doesn't exactly do a good job of explaining the storyline, but it should still be enough to give you a decent idea of just what kind of world SpellForce 3 inhabits. Here's the video:
Darkwood is a highly atmospheric and surprisingly terrifying top-down horror game

Darkwood is a top-down horror game that will have you explore a randomly generated world during the day, after which you will have to somehow survive throughout the night despite all manner of creatures and monstrosities lurking deep in the misty woods. It arrived to Steam Early Access quite a few years ago, and after a whole bunch of patches and positive reviews it has now finally been released!
Since trying to explain atmospheric horror games through words alone is a completely pointless task, allow me to share with you the recently posted launch trailer. Its not very long, but it should get the point across quite nicely. Have a look:
The Total War: Warhammer beta client has been updated with some much needed balance changes

Total War: Warhammer has recently been updated with an entirely new faction in the form of Norsca and their monstrous pets, as well as a variety of new Regiments of Renown designed to spice up the gameplay. As you might expect, this massive influx of new units quickly threw both the multiplayer and singleplayer balance into disarray, but worry not as there is a hotfix patch coming.
Before the patch arrives to the live version, however, Creative Assembly has decided to put it through a spin on the test servers. So if you're interested in helping out, or if you're just looking to read about the new changes, you'll find what you seek over here. On the other hand, if you're just interested in the balance adjustments, here they are:
Overwatch will soon get a new map and cinematic short, most likely themed after Junkrat and Roadhog

With gamescom 2017 just around the corner Blizzard has announced that they will be showcasing a brand new cinematic short, as well as a new map! On August 21st at 18:00 CEST Blizzard will kick things off by releasing a special preview video showing off all of the new content, after which we will get a proper look at the new cinematic short during the Overwatch gamescom presentation.
As for what exactly the new cinematic short will be about, I'm afraid I don't know for certain, but I can give you a pretty damn good educated guess. A little while ago the announcer voiceline stating "Welcome to Junkertown" was datamined, which given today's announcement of an announcement seems to quite obviously point towards our two resident madmen: Junkrat and Roadhog. Combine this with the fact that both have been buffed on the current PTR and that Blizzard has already confirmed an awesome Roadhog skin in the next event, and you've got yourself fairly good odds that the next cinematic short will be all about the Australian outlaws.
Underworld Ascendant, the Ultima Underworld inspired RPG, now has a new trailer showing off the visuals and overall style

Despite being fairly popular back in their heyday, dungeon-crawling RPGs like Ultima Underworld have sadly become an extreme rarity these days. There is some hope on the horizon, however, as Underworld Ascendant promises to be the next-generation follow-up to the Ultima Underworld series. What this means in gameplay terms is that you can expect a deep storyline that responds to your actions, a diverse set of abilities and spells to decimate your enemies with, as well as an absolutely massive dungeon realm to explore.
The details are still in short supply so I'm afraid I can't really offer you much on that front, but what I can share is the recently posted trailer showcasing Underworld Ascendant's visuals and overall style. Its not a very long video, but it should at least give you a general idea of what to expect from Underworld Ascendant. But enough babble, here's the video:
