GOG is offering Worms Forts: Under Siege for free for the next three days

This is actually the second time GOG is offering a free game in a single week and while I don't know what prompted them to start doing so I can't say I'll complain much.

Today they are offering Worms Forts: Under Siege, a 3D variant of the classic Worms games. The promotion is set to last for three days after which the game returns to it regular price.

As for whether it is good or not I can't tell you for certain as I've never played any of the 3D Worms. From a quick glance around it seems that Worms Forts is pretty solid though it suffers from camera control issues, as do most early 3D games. So if you have a liking towards the Worms series I'd say you can comfortably download and give this one a try, it is free after all.

And if you know nothing about the Worms series then I'm afraid you've missed out on some amazing party games. The Worms games are all about using ridiculous weaponry in order to destroy the enemy worms by cowering them in sheep, throwing exploding bouncy bananas, hitting them with meteors, throwing donkeys at them, you know - the usual stuff.

Alone they are OK but when you add a couple of friends for some local or online coop the Worms games are elevated to a whole new level because trashtalking someone's terrible super-sheep piloting is half the fun.

So in short, I'd take GOG on their offer and ideally get a few friends over for some Worms mayhem.
