[Update]: After four years of waiting, Warframe's main storyline has now moved forward with The New War!

Four years have gone by since Warframe's main storyline ended on a massive cliffhanger. During those four years the game has expanded in a variety of different ways, both in terms of gameplay and story, though the cliffhanger was simply never resolved.

Thankfully, the seemingly eternal wait is now slowly coming to an end as Warframe's big December 15th update will bring with it The New War - a lengthy story quest that will finally reveal what's happening with the Sentients, Lotus, as well as the rest of the major factions.

The details are currently few and far between as Digital Extremes are doing their best to avoid spoilers, but I can at least share with you the most recent cinematic trailer setting up the events of The New War. Have a peek:

If you would like to join in on the fun, be warned that there is a rather lengthy list of quests and objectives you'll need to complete in order to access The New War. Long story short, you'll need to complete all of the story quests from Natah to Heart of Deimos, as well as have access to both the Railjack and Necramech.
