Warcraft 3: Reforged artwork showing off the Night Elves

[Update]: Warcraft 3: Reforged devs have shared a preview of the upcoming Player Profiles.

Warcraft 3: Reforged launched a little while ago, and unfortunately it ended up being a bit of a disappointment. The new art style is somewhat hit-and-miss in terms of quality, there are noticeable performance issues in both ranked play and custom games, a variety of new bugs, and most damning of all, a lack of community-focused features like profiles, tournaments or leaderboards.

While the fixes for some of these problems are currently underway, Blizzard has now also made it so anyone can request a refund for Warcraft 3: Reforged if they feel like the experience isn't up to par. All you have to do is head on over to your region's support site, request a refund, and you'll be good to go after a little bit of a wait.

"Blizzard stands by the quality of our products and our services," reads the brief announcement. "Normally we set limits for refund availability on a game, based on time since purchase and whether it has been used. However we want to give players the option of a refund if they feel that Warcraft III: Reforged does not provide the experience they wanted. So, we’ve decided to allow refunds upon request for the time being."

When exactly this offer will end, nobody outside of Blizzard currently knows. So if you're planning to get a refund, you might want to do it sooner rather than later.

As for Warcraft 3: Reforged, here's to hoping the patches will truly polish it up, because it really is quite heartbreaking to see such a legendary game wallow in mediocrity. Once more information becomes available, I'll make sure to let you know, but until then you can read about Warcraft 3: Reforged over at the official website.
