[Update #2]: Vermintide 2 has added three lengthy (and free) maps based on the original's Karak Azgaraz DLC.

[Update]: Vermintide 2's Tower of Treachery update has added a new map with a fun surprise at the end.

If you're a fan of co-op games, or just slicing and dicing your way through hundreds upon hundreds of enemies, you'll be happy to hear that the truly excellent Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is currently free to try out on Steam. The free weekend will run until Monday, March 13th, after which you'll still be able to grab Vermintide 2 at a sizable 80% discount until March 16th.

In order to help new players catch up, or just give veterans a chance to level up another character, Fatshark has also tripled the amount of experience you can gain in each mission. This buff will last until March 19th, which should give you more than enough time to experiment with different characters and builds.

And if you're in the mood for a bit of humor, it's well worth mentioning that the limited time event map "A Quiet Drink" has now reappeared. As the name might imply, A Quiet Drink is a silly and booze-fueled romp through Helmgart's streets, and something that's well worth experiencing while it's still around. After all, it's not every day you get to hear Saltzpyre ramble about driving a steam tank!

That's pretty much everything you need to know. So just pick your favorite character and go wild - Vermintide 2 really is a blast! Have fun, and I'll make sure to let you know once the much anticipated conclusion of the Trail of Treachery storyline finally arrives.
