Given that we've received basically no information about the game ever since it was first announced, it should come as little surprise to hear that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has now been delayed. No specific date has been set just yet, but you can expect Frontiers of Pandora to launch at some point in 2023-24.

"We are committed to delivering a cutting-edge immersive experience that takes full advantage of next-gen technology, as this amazing global entertainment brand represents a major multi-year opportunity for Ubisoft," reads the very brief explanation.

"While this additional development time is a reflection of the current ongoing constraints on productions across the industry, we are hard at work to design the most efficient working conditions to ensure both flexibility for our teams as well as strong productivity while delivering the best experiences to players."

Personally, given the track record movie tie-in games have had throughout the years, I'm more than happy to see Frontiers of Pandora get delayed. After all there's a lot of fun places to explore in the Avatar universe, so it would be a shame if the whole game ended up being a disappointing mess just because it needed to be rushed out of the door.

Whatever the future may bring for Frontiers of Pandora, I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, you can read a tiny bit more about it over at the Ubisoft website.
