Total War: Warhammer's Beastmen in battle against the Empire

Creative Assembly released a video detailing all of the Beastmen campaign mechanics and research trees a couple of days ago, and as promised, they have returned once more to showcase their battle prowess.

As you might expect given their name, the Beastmen are brutal, straightforward combatants, preferring to jump straight into the bloodbath rather than rely on such silly things as artillery or heavily armored units. The end result, while often not healthy for the Beastmen's unit count, is fairly spectacular, as you'll see in the developer gameplay video embedded down below:

Its worth noting that the battle shown above takes place on a subterranean map rather than on the newly added beast-paths. While it might not sound like a big deal, its an important distinction since the beast-path ambushes have your units start incredibly close to the enemy lines, and best of all, in a parallel line to them. The Empire got crushed even after raining down artillery for a full minute, so imagine how boned they'd be if the Beastmen started out right next to them.

Call of the Beastmen DLC will be arriving on July 28, and if you would like to learn more I would suggest you head over to Steam rather than the official website. Whoever organized the store page has done an excellent job of showcasing pretty much every feature the Beastmen bring with them, big or small, so it should give you an idea if this is something you'd be comfortable to spend €17,5/$19 on.
