Total War: Three Kingdoms official screenshot of a battle from up close

Total War: Three Kingdoms will be heading over to PC this March 6th with what appears to be a sizable list of features. Diplomacy will be getting reworked from the ground up, actions in battle will have an effect on your heroes and their relationships, there will be realistic and Dynasty Warriors inspired game modes, espionage will be getting a variety of improvements, and the list goes on.

If you're wondering how all of this translates into gameplay, allow me to share with you the recently posted developer preview showing off what it takes to build an empire. Have a gander, it's a pretty interesting video:

While I know very little about the time period, I have to say I'm quite excited to get my hands on Three Kingdoms. From what was shown so far, it really does appear to have fixed many of the problems Total War: Warhammer and Thrones of Britannia suffer from when it comes to the campaign. If Creative Assembly can also manage to make the AI more interesting to fight without giving them ridiculous amounts of campaign bonuses, thus completely negating many of the cool new features, I don't think I'll be leaving my room throughout March!

Whatever the case may be, I suppose we'll find out soon enough. Until then, I'll leave you with one of the earlier previews, this one focusing mostly on espionage and diplomacy. Enjoy!
