Total War: Three Kingdoms will be making its way to PC this March 6th with quite a few interesting features in tow. Diplomacy will be getting reworked from the ground up, actions in battle will have actual consequences on the relationships of heroes that take part in them, there will be realistic and Dynasty Warrior styled game modes to satisfy both groups of fans, and the list goes on for quite a while.

So if you're wondering how one of these newly improved systems might work in-game, allow me to share with you the recently posted preview that's all about spies and playing dirty. Have a gander:

I have to say, I'm impressed with what Creative Assembly has shown so far, and I'm not just talking about all of the new spying stuff. They've clearly put a lot of effort to make Three Kingdoms feel more unique compared to the previous games, so if all of these new systems actually manage to come together in a proper campaign, the end result could be pretty damn awesome! My only real worry is how difficulty will impact all of these delicate actions, because if Total War: Warhammer 2 is any indicator, Creative Assembly has still not gone past the idea of increasing the difficulty by just making things more annoying to deal with.

My little musings aside, you can learn more about Total War: Three Kingdoms, as well as follow any future developer updates, over at Steam. I will certainly be doing that myself!
