[Update]: Yakuza: Like a Dragon has now been unleashed, and I'm happy to say it's pretty good!

While the Yakuza series has changed a fair bit over the years, the upcoming Yakuza: Like a Dragon is truly breaking the mold by taking things in a completely new direction. Instead of the usual brawler combat system, Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be using a JRPG inspired turn-based combat system with plenty of ridiculous combos.

The emphasis there is absolutely on the ridiculous, as you'll quickly see through one of the action-focused trailer down below. Have a gander, it's certainly a sight to behold:

A drastic change in direction to be sure, but judging by the reviews released so far, Yakuza: Like a Dragon seems to have managed it quite well. So if you're in the mood for something a little bit out of the ordinary, mark November 10th on your calendar as that's when Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be launching for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
