The Elder Scrolls Online official artwork for the new Summerset expansion

The Elder Scrolls Online's upcoming expansion will be shifting the action to Summerset, the ancient home of the High Elves and an area we have not been able to journey to since the very first and very old Elder Scrolls game. You can expect to see a variety of new and detailed zones to explore, a whole bunch of new storylines to unravel and enemy factions to thwart, the ability to join the mysterious Psijic order in order to learn new abilities, and naturally, a variety of public dungeons, delves, bosses and group content to tackle.

While the newly posted cinematic trailer won't tell you much about the gameplay, it will at least give you a sneak peek of some of the areas you'll get to explore, as well as the figures you'll be meeting along the way. Have a look, and make sure to pay attention to the backgrounds as there are quite a few intriguing individuals shown throughout the trailer:

If the video has piqued your interest and you're not wondering what else the Summerset expansion has to offer, you should head on over to the ESO website to learn more. As far as the release date is concerned, the Summerset expansion will be coming this June 5th for both PC and consoles at a $40 price tag (including the base game and the Morrowind expansion), or at a slightly reduced $30 for those that already own all of the major content.

And just for good measure, allow me to send you off with the original gameplay reveal trailer. It's not the most detailed video around, but it should give you a decent idea of what Summerset looks like from up close. Enjoy!
